  • @jiffcat yeah he was born 1888 died 1949

  • That grave derserves more monuments around. R.I.P Leadbelly, one of the biggest legends of Blues and influence to all big musicians, specially for Kurt Cobain and his legendary "where did you sleep last night" cover at Unplugged 93'

  • i woulda had him bless my guitar

  • Leadbelly was a violent drunk

  • @mryuck206 Fare thee well, Titanic, fare thee well.......

  • Cool stuff but OH OH WE HAVE TO STOP is a little bit loud and obnoxious when I dont know where my volume is.

  • Leadbelly is dead?

  • My father-in-law just told me about Lead Belly tonight (11/24/10)!!! I've been watching videos and I'm so glad that I'm able to hear his music. Thank God for Youtube!!

  • I will visit this now that I know where it is! On the bucket list.

  • Huddy Buttletter :-))??!!!! just kidding sis and thx for stopping and filming.

really nice to pay homage to the guy in stripes.

Peace and yes, im done joking.

  • Thanks for posting! My Father-In-Law did stage lighting for the last or nearly the last Leadbelly performance. At the time he was a student at Alfred University in New York State in the late 40's.

  • Awesome!

  • What a find..

  • There should be more mourners gathered around that grave.

  • There are gatherings of a dozen or so people out there a couple times each year. If I ever hear about one ahead of time, I'll totally be there with my camera. :)

  • @DrStrangelove346 I think the countless amount of people who appreciate and celebrate his life over a half a century after his passing do a lot more to keep his music and his story alive than any amount of mourners grieving at a tombstone ever could.

  • awesome :)

  • All excited...I would be too.

  • I was there in the 1990's the area had a sort of Deliverance vibe to it back then. Did you get to check out all the other Leadbetter grave sites.? Many had homemade markers with odd misspellings.

  • Now, if only we could find Jesus...

  • @Wonderplant Many people have found Jesus dude, and the good news is that he WASN"T IN THE GRAVE!!!!! :-)

  • now if we could just find Robert Johnson...apparently he's buried in 2 places....lol....

  • i wanna go there and pay my respects to the great pioneer of music

  • I'm sitting here tuning up my brand new (old) Dell Arte replica of the original Stella 12 string he played, looking for anything visual about Leadbelly. Thanks for posting this!

  • Leadbelly R.I.P

  • Profound, one of the machines of GOD.

  • awesome Latex hehe

  • wow! awesome stuff! I don't think this was an accident, everything happens for a reason.

  • awesome what a great thing to have happen by accident. as of this writing, 1300 people are interested in your find & counting. goodnight leadbelly
