APES ARE QUITE COMFORTABLE IN HOW THEY WALK, just as humans are quite comfortable in how they walk. CAGW fails the most basic of empirical scientific tests. Anyone checking the temp record the last 1,000 years can see a warm period rivalling (arguably surpassing) the current one, a colder period that bottomed out in the 1600's, and a recovery into present times. Meanwhile, we had relatively steady CO2 levels until 150 years ago. No correlation is there.

The jury isn't out on whether CO2 causes warming, but it is still out on how much it causes. Going from 200 PPM to 400 PPM may be a 100% increase, but it's till going from next to nothing to still next to nothing.

@MartianSanta Problem is if they lose profit they will pass that off to us the consumer and then prices will rise for us so yes I think its a bad idea to do that. As for trees they get planted all the time so thats fine. I use whatever is cheapest recyclable or not. I also like the plastic bags stores give us for our groceries which for some reason environmentlists don't. I use them as trash bags in little bathroom cans. Also there is no recycling plant near my home so that wont be happening.

Only variations of already existing genes are possible, which means only limited evolution and adaptations are possible. EXPLAINING HOW AN AIRPLANE WORKS doesn't mean no one made the airplane. Explaining how life or the universe works doesn't mean there was no Maker behind them. Natural laws explain how the order in the universe works, but mere undirected natural laws can't explain the origin of that order. NATURAL SELECTION IS NO BLIND WATCHMAKER because it can only "select" traits, not produce them. If a trait survives, that survival is called being "selected." Natural selection operates only once there is life and reproduction, not before, so it couldn't have been involved in life's origins. APES ARE QUITE COMFORTABLE IN HOW THEY WALK, just as humans are quite comfortable in how they walk. Even a slight change in the position of a muscle or bone, for either, would be excruciatingly painful and would not be an advantage for survival. CAGW fails the most basic of empirical scientific tests. Anyone checking the temp record the last 1,000 years can see a warm period rivalling (arguably surpassing) the current one, a colder period that bottomed out in the 1600's, and a recovery into present times. Meanwhile, we had relatively steady CO2 levels until 150 years ago. No correlation is there.

@MartianSanta Problem is if they lose profit they will pass that off to us the consumer and then prices will rise for us so yes I think its a bad idea to do that. As for trees they get planted all the time so thats fine. I use whatever is cheapest recyclable or not. I also like the plastic bags stores give us for our groceries which for some reason environmentlists don't. I use them as trash bags in little bathroom cans. Also there is no recycling plant near my home so that wont be happening.

What they did was ask other sceintific organisations around the world to verify it as wrong or right.
It seems completely unbelievable that this happened but if they come back and confirm it I will have no choice but to accept the result, my personal credulity does not comment on the truth of sceintific research.

@ekkin I dont think its very helpful to frame things in terms of 2 sides against each other.
I like to view it as, NASA and CERN and various other reputable and successful sceintific research and development organisations have made some observations and have made a hypothesis.
Now they are either right or wrong on this, very simple.
I think we can both agree that having an average citizen comment on the validaity of their work is silly and holds no value

No real CAGW-skept denies AGW. Also the 97% of scientists agreeing on CAGW is based only on the opinions of 75 scientists. Also, Google "The Carbon Brief: analysing the 900 papers supporting climate scepticism." Those 900 papers mostly come from the same handful of people over and over -- and most of them are working for fossil fuel industries.

@cybersekkin I am not arguing that consensus = truth. That is exactly what CAGW-apologists are insidiously beavering away at. The point of my post was simply to demonstrate that the consensus for CAGW has been exaggerated. Nevertheless, AGW is real and I except there so be a consensus on that. Although whether there is a consensus of scientists that agree with the UN bureaucrats and mathemagicians in lab-coat camouflage at the IPCC is another question altogether and one I think is very unlikely.

Of COURSE we should be fair and balance it out. For every fact we cram into kids heads, we need to cram an opposing LIE into their heads. That way the total net sum of education is 0. Once we have that going, we can save a lot of money and fix the economy by just closing all schools and returning to a period of feudalism, when only the rulers are educated.
It's the only sound, logical, reasonable thing to do!

Denying Climate Change has a very real and immediate effect, for the most part Climate Change deniers are not dis-honest or religously motivated, my experience is that most of them will change their mind given the evidence if presented in a fair, balanced and understanding method
