Puissance is usually around 7-9ft.

Not it isn't - the puissance rarely goes higher than 7ft. Most Grand Prix showjumps top out at 5ft (ish) maximum. This is the final round of 5 in this Puissance, in past years most riders concede and pull out because they feel it is getting too high for their horse.

Most puissance therefore are around the 6-7ft mark throughout the rounds, I think it is highly unlikely they ever reach 8ft let alone 9.

Puissance is a 'high jump' event - sometimes it may not have a maximum but Olympia do 5 round knockout - you bring a brick down you're out.

This is the 5th and final round and the highest they allow the wall to go.

Ben is an amaizing rider im not doubting that, he also is a total dickhead.we organised this huge fund raise thing and Ben was book to do a master classe and demo and the night before the event He pulled out people all expecting to c Ben and he thought it was too small for him to go to Luckly We rang Tim stockdale who put us through to Laura Wrenick (<--Dont know how to spell her name):L If it wasnt for them two we would have raised nothing! ever since then all recpect from me has been lost!

Actually, The Rider Does Loads. Those Horses Arent Easy To Ride, You Have To Keep Your Leg On But Hold Them Back And Collect Them Aswell. The Horse IS Doin The Jumpin I Agree, But If The Rider Wasnt On His Back He Wouldnt Of Jumped It, So Dont Jip, Its Not Easy As A Rider To Jump That Height.

i have met him in person when i had a lesson with him, i had been taught by proffessionals before but the lesson he gave me was the best lesson i have ever had, we have won a national qualifier, and various other competitions, as well as being seleccted for the two teams i am eligible for, he is really nice and positive and he looks quite bad in photos but in real life he actually looks pretty damned good.

Having seen the Puissance at Olympia many times in the past.. it was and still is quite rare for horses/riders go to the last round and jump such a height.. sure 8ft is amazing, but at 7ft3.. this jump is only a shade shorter than that...
