He went on to become one if Irelands top baritone / tenors and starred in many musicals. Amazing to see the steam train in Carlingford. That railway was closed in 1951 and was lifted many years ago.

You may recognize the vicar Michael Dolan as the Ghost of Christmas Past from
the 1951 version of "Christmas Carol". This was two years earlier. He died in 1954,
a memorable actor.
