i have 100 smithing but I still cant get dragon armour like its unhighlighted. Why?

You gotta do other perk before it so you can unlock it

@ViiTaLProProductions Once your smithing is at 100, you must have perks unlocked from when you level up, and you have to unlock one perk at a time for smithing in the skills menu and eventually you can get that specific ability. So getting smithing to 100 pretty much means absolutely nothing unless you level up yourself and unlock its perks!

@MacTheNinja i have more then that (only by like 4 or 5) you jsut go to dragon burial grounds or hope that they will come to towns/cities (Dawnstar almost always has a dragon attaking 4 me just try there first)

is it just me or is dragon armour the easiest to make because dragon bones and scales are so easy to find if u kill 1 dragon i think u get 5 bones and 5 scales the only hard bit is getting to level 100 smithing thumbs up so people can see

Dragon heavy armor isnt as good as daedric armor. But dragon light armor is best light armor.

@GammaRays456 the amount of protection that armor gives you changes with your heavy armor/light armor skill level. The higher the level, the more protection you get out of things :)

Dragons are still flying around and such after you kill the boss. Also you can buy or mine the iron ores and turn them into bars and you can buy the leather or leather strips.

@karmasbit that is most likely because your heavy armour skill has a few stacks of the armour bonus or is just a higher level than his. if you were to look at those armours they would be even higher than your orcish or ebony.

@lordkingdragon if your light armor skill is higher than your heavy armor. or if you have the armor increasing skill for light armor than yes, dragon scale armor would be better. but if you had the same level and bonuses for your heavy armor than deadric would be the best.

Doesn't the level of the enemy rise as you raise your perks? So if you have smithing at 100, but your things like destruction spells are only at like 5, then your basically screwed later in the game until you get the perks balanced out?

@McSchematic if you get ur alchamy and enchanting up. u enchant gear for better potions then, use a potion to increase ur enchanating, then enchant better potion gear. then enchant upgraded smithing gear. and use a potion to buff smithing as well. i had zero offensive perks and still left whiterun with an armor rating of 230 and a bow with 90 power. you'll be fine
