She was always the first one in and the last one out. She studied everything from jazz to classical singing and opera.
She is amazingly talented. Of course, compared to a Broadway veteran like Idina who has played this role a hundred times, she would not be as good. She isn't from Broadway and this is her first time and they only prepared for a week. If anything, this proves how talented this woman is!
I love both nicole and idina's performance of this equally. I will not pit them against each other because their renditions are so unique I can appreciate them both without any contest. I will say that Nicole is a definate force to be reckoned with. Her gift goes way beyond talent.
Although I will forever be partial to Idina's version, I like how Nicole does it too. She isn't copying Idina at all which most Maureen's do.
However, I really dislike the new costume, she looks like a robot which is the exact opposite of how a bohemian would dress. AND the lack of cowbell makes me very sad.

This is the best and most original version of "Over the Moon" I have ever seen. Its very different, not copied, yet still retains Mareen's unusual performance style. Its also the funniest version I've seen....thought I was going to fall over from laughing when she started rapping the part about Benny!
Wow. She did an AMAZING job with this. I'm a huge RENThead, but Over The Moon is probably my least favorite part of the show, and usually I can only stomach Idina Menzel's version. But, Nicole just knocked it out of the park and added her own touch to it and did a great job, I actually really enjoy this version!

I think this really works because she's got so much experience in performing in arena's etc. that she just sort of plays up to the audience like Maureen would.

This is the best and most original version of "Over the Moon" I have ever seen. Its very different, not copied, yet still retains Mareen's unusual performance style. Its also the funniest version I've seen....thought I was going to fall over from laughing when she started rapping the part about Benny!

Wow. She did an AMAZING job with this. I'm a huge RENThead, but Over The Moon is probably my least favorite part of the show, and usually I can only stomach Idina Menzel's version. But, Nicole just knocked it out of the park and added her own touch to it and did a great job, I actually really enjoy this version!
