  • 600hz panasonic plasma is GOOD for gaming no lag when turning around and aiming in first person shooters =D

  • 32 and larger i would recomment 120hz anything under 32 inches you will be ok with 60hz so since your thinking of getting a 32 inch i would get the 120hz

  • some will say its ok 60 hz but u can tell a real difference in 120hz.. if oyu like games and movies go for 120hz.

  • I'm in the UK and I have 1 (60000/1001)progressive Hz (that's about 59.94p Hz) monitor at 1440x900, and one TV (50i Hz, at 768x288 per field) that I use for my VCR monitor, my desktop monitor (I have a laptop that feeds signals to the 59'er) via my VCR, and my Commodore 64's monitor, though soon to change output modes for the C64 from RF to baseband CVBS/M

  • you';ll be fine with 60Hz :)

    most games run at 50Hz

  • If you can't run games over over 100fps all the time then it's waste of money. newest games and upcoming (bf3) would probably not run over 80 avg fps so get 60hz screen if you are going to play the newest games.

  • Hey ETb0YzZ321, I have a LG 23 Inch that has only 60 Hz. As soon as I started to use it in games I started to understand that it's pointless using it. 60Hz in monitors over 17 inches is really a pain in the ass. Now I bought this ASUS VG236HE which makes games look PERFECT. The difference between 120 Hz and 60 Hz is like day and noght.

60 Hz monitors are good for doing stuff on desktop but as soon as you enter a game you will need the refresh rates.

If you have money buy the 120 Hz.

    Good luck

  • @KoSoVaAnGeL hey man thanks for your input.. since i was short on money.. i just went with a 32" sony bravia 60Hz.. and it works just fine. i have had no problems with it.. and i barely notice any motion blur.

  • @KoSoVaAnGeL shqipee he... ;) luja luja :D

  • @KoSoVaAnGeL so I take it you can connect your tv with xbox and if you did so, how was it? How do the games look? are they good?

  • @lobofaca707 I don't know about Xbox. You see there are games that wont accept above 60 hz but you have many that accept more than that. I do not use console since 2002. It just does not make sense using consoles when pc games are much better.

  • since you play console games and console games are locked at 60fps..... there is no point of getting anything more and 60hz. SECOND not 1 tv for sale can run a real 120hz refresh rate. the largest real 120hz monitor is 24 inches at the moment. running 120 hz on a tv creates shit tons of input lag but you wouldn't notice since you play on a console. if you really want to rape face buy a DLP. when i say REAL 120 i mean i can change the refresh rate from 60 to 120 on my computer settings

  • 60 is actually not bad at all, but as a gamer, you will definately notice the difference, it doesn;t really add too much but things feel smoother

  • Console games are capped at 30 fps. Even 30hz would be alright.

Id go for the 120hz if you had a high end pc with nvision 3d ;) or Ati 3d which will come along later this year

  • 120hz is best for gaming because there will be fast movement it will look best with a 120hz. 60hz is okay but if u are willimg to pay more for more smoothness then id go with 120hz

  • Since video game consoles run at 60FPS the difference between the two is nill. Ignore the other comments posted. Unfortunately, they are wrong.

120fps TVs are divisible by 24 and therefor allow the original theater quality video when playing 24fps 1080p blu ray movies. Outside of this advantage, there is none.

  • Gaming? You're fool even thinking buying 60Hz. Gamers, get 120Hz.

BenQ XL2410T Is good, I got one.

  • 120Hz is better for gaming.

  • 60hz would be fine for gaming but 120hz provides a lot more fps (frames per second). So If you can get the 120hz. I got one running 120hz and I love it!

  • look for response rate of 2ms

  • @EatMahSkittles where would i find that info out at?

  • @ETb0YzZ321 if youre buying online it should say in the details or whatever dont go for 5ms because it has input lag.

  • @EatMahSkittles ok. so it doesnt even matter that much about the hz?? and which ms or ms's are the best to look for?

  • @ETb0YzZ321 im not an expert and dont know all this stuff but ill tell you this i bought a 19 inch lcd for my room and it has 5ms i cant play on it because it has huge input lag. im gettin a 2ms one for christmas

  • @ETb0YzZ321 get 2ms, dont go for hertz its pointless, ull get a headache from trying to play at 120hz

  • @audiocable im asking myself the same question 120 better than 60hzs. but for me i find that 120hzs tvs look weird like there moving to fast a bit unnatural imo. can u explain why will it give me a headache also does 120hz have health risks?

  • @dasrgbug no, the screen moves faster so its more for ur brain to process, like watching a 3d movie makes some people sick, other than headaches not much other health risk

  • @EatMahSkittles 5ms has lag what?? Honestly bro I think you just got a shitty monitor. 5ms especially for an LCD tv is excellent. As long as you stay below 11ms I doubt you would notice nay lag at all.

  • @EatMahSkittles remember that milisecond (ms) response time has nothing to do with refresh rate. LCD response time is just how fast the Liquid-Crystal components takes to change from one color to the other or from black to white. If I'm correct, heehee THX.

  • @EatMahSkittles If a monitor is capable of 60hz (hertz) and it says 2ms response time, it's not that it will do 500 hertz (hz) (because 1000 milliseconds are in a second hence 2ms (milliseconds) would be present 500 times in a second but the refresh rate is how fast the monitor can create new images not how fast that lcd display can respond [to that refresh rate]).
