  • i had the front 11, on the 12th ball i left it. so yeah. it happens

  • thumbs up if you play Bowling evolution, and bowled straight and always leaved 5-7-10s like pete did

  • @DSnWiiRocks i play that game but i never left the 5-7-10 bowling straight down

  • @ArsenalBowler than whats the worst break happened to you?

  • @DSnWiiRocks i dunno i always get bad breaks (pocket 4-10, pocket 7-10 when pins fly over to other lanes) so erm ya........ my high game 279 though :)

  • I have only left one of these, the other day at a place in St. Louis.

  • alright Peter!

  • 5 7 10, the toughest split ever!!!!! 7 10 requires a bounce to the other side, 5 7 10 requires a bounce to the side and then launching to the other side. A big hook would help as well. However, a lot more hook is required for the 5 7 10. Plus, the 5 7 10 relies on a light ball. The 7 10 does not need a light ball.

  • It was there, but it was air. But actually, there was a house in Norwalk Connecticut, Rip Van Winkle, where good bowlers would leave the 5-7-10 fairly frequently. It was because the pin decks (the place where the pins sit) were raised a fraction and the ball would lose traction, and maybe even hop, just before it hit the pins. The decks were also made of an artificial substance while the rest of the lane was still wood.

  • 1997, about the time the PBA was circilng the drain. Also about the time it tried to reinvent itself to look like the WWF.

  • @Zoomer30 what do you mean?

  • Im suprised Pete didnt smash the foul light, go down kick down the pins, then set the place on fire haha but you gotta love Pete Weber :D

  • 0:20 "I Smell yoMama!"

  • That hit like a pancake but it was his spare ball thrown with nothing on it.

  • ughh i left this split today during a crucial frame.. i had to see someone else suffer haha

  • notthebowler it sounded like he needed a spare to win the match

  • LULUUUUUUU!!!!!! RASCALEE YOU!!!!!!

  • I've never liked Pete Weber. I bowled a game with him at the PBA Oregon Open many years ago...he's just as smarmy off-camera.

  • its one of the last things u wanna see in a tournament i left it once in a tournament i converted the 5-7 but couldnt go for the 10

  • I did that today with a straight ball too. I didn't know what to do ):

  • @PeterLovesPurple two ways of making it (as a righty) easiest way is to take out a plastic ball the lighter the better and shoot your 9 pin. If you hit your spot the ball should deflect off the 5 into the 10 while the 5 takes out the 7. Other way is to overhook the ball on the left side of the 5 into the 7 and try and shoot the 5 into the 10

  • They should've showed the part if Pete Weber had a chance on making the spare for this frame. Is this split makable? I never seen anyone make or leave this split before. I wonder, did Pete make the spare for this shot or which pin did he convert when he left this split? Please let me know.

  • That was embarrasing! A lot of money on the line and you mistakenly throw a flat ball to get such a nasty result.

  • I don't think ive even left that before

  • Did Pete Weber convert the 5-7-10? I didn't think so.

  • no he only hit the 5

  • Same thing with Chris Barnes,

  • @nwest1140 I don't know if Pete Weber converted this spare. I don't think anyone could make this split. Its very hard.

  • @srf1969 it can be picked up. Just search for "tore torgersen 5-7-10"

  • hahah, I got those before, don't remember how I got it but it happened lol

  • u leave a 5-7-10 aka the Lilly from when ur ball hits flat in the pocket

or as it's called in U.K Flat as a pancake

refer to the Chris Barnes and a 5-7-10 split Weber Cup video. also

  • hahaha webers reaction is priceless

  • Gee that's terrible. That's an impossible split to pick up.

    William.

  • it isnt impossible.....ive picked it up before. It just takes a great amount of rev and hitting the 5 perfectly.

  • uhmm get a 6 pound plastic with 500 revs and you can get it buddy... ur sarcasm is pathetic, cuz a 5 7 10 in a 300 game is definitely impossible... a 5 7 10 pick up tho is not impossible.. how? my buddy eric did just that with the 6 :) 2 handed throws do come in handy

  • do u have Poof u picked it up ? a video

  • sadly I dont, but im bowling tommorow so im taking my camera. Just in case haha. Though, the odds of leaving one are slim so meh. Could be awhile unless I get one of my buds to set it up for me manually. So we will see in the future.

  • i dont think it would be too hard, especially now with the almight hooking ball like the Seige or Invasion, I think it would be a lot easier than the 6-7-10 anyday

  • @Nofaces Maybe the 5-8-10 can be easy to convert. I did that twice in a row this past winter. I wasn't trying, I just threw it.

  • i have made it with big hook and a 6 pound ball

  • In candlepin, it's easy to make the 5-7-10 spare if they use the deadpins.

    William.

  • cant say, have never played candlepin

  • They should've showed the part if Pete Weber would've made the spare. I never seen anyone leave the 5 7 10 split before but, is it a makeable spare? Please let me know if anyone ever made this spare before.

  • Comment removed

  • What's so bad about a 5-7-10 is it just a rookie error that should never be made? it must be impossible to actually hit a 5-7-10 and make a spare

  • 5-7-10 means you've thrown the ball like a homo and deserve to be made fun of. 2 ways to make it, 1 being getting a 6 pound ball and putting a lot of revs on it and hook it across the lane, the ball hitting the left side of the 5 pin and the 5 deflecting into the 10 pin and the ball taking out the 7. Or you can whip the ball 22-23 miles per hour and shoot the 7 or 10 and bounce it out hopefully hitting the 5 and then the 7.

  • His reaction was like,"I just didn't do or see that happen." Then his pan to the camera was priceless. lol

  • wheres my hi lo jack

  • you know your a true hall of famer when you leave a sour apple for the win

  • uber deflection

  • Ouch.

  • HAHAHAHAHA!!!! ATTA BOY PETE!!!!!

  • I always thought Pete Weber looks a lot like Sean Penn.

  • My dad has said that Penn should play PDW in a movie about him

  • this is always good for a laugh

  • Pete still won the game all he needed was three or four pins to win, and I was amazed when Pete left this split. He didn't make it though.

  • just left it yesterday

  • I think the irony is what Bo said "Your dad will be very proud."

  • He never got fired. He and Chris Schenkel (as a pair) were on ABC doing these telecasts for 23 years. With the advent of cable television, and other factors, bowling went off of ABC in 1997. Bo was very professional and had insightful comments for the audience.

  • left that twice this year!!!!!

  • I'm debating which is better, the irony or the reaction.

  • "No point of throwing a big hook and leaving some weird shot" Ironic, eh?

  • thats gold

  • LOL!!!

  • LMFAO ARE YOU SERIOUS
