  • Number one annoyance at the gym concerning these new treadmills: the television. Why do these manufacturers assume I want to stare at a TV when i'm trying to focus on a workout?? ALL of the newest equipment our gym just got has a giant TV screen in your face that CANNOT be moved. You actually can't avoid looking at it unless you run with your head turned right or left. Our gym has huge picture windows facing the Blue Ridge mountains and I can't see them becuase of the TV in my face.

  • I can only run 1.25 miles at 8 mph. Is that at least decent? I'm trying to get to at least 2 miles at that speed. Some days I run a mile at a faster speed.

  • @LandoftheShanks Yea but the crazy part is that i lift weight too and then run. The reason why i run 80 mins cuz i burn about thousand calories. If you keep on running on the treadmill you start getting faster and you start breathing better plus run longer. I was 250 pounds last year, now i lost 40 pounds but I gain lil bit cuz of muscle growth and dont over do it too and make sure your running in a treadmill on cool place. Also dont forget to drink alots of cold water.

  • @Kevinjamesprojects Thank you for the advice. I always try and drink plenty of water, although I do have the problem of pushing myself too far sometimes. I definitely need to work on that. I only weigh 126. I am trying to get back down to 120, but it is very difficult when you are already small to kill off those last few lbs. I was 120 to begin with, but over the course of a year gained some. I don't lift weights, I do mostly pushups and about 200 situps, so I have a bit of muscle myself

  • @LandoftheShanks I think your completely fine. If you keep up with your work out you'll lose that 6 pounds easily. I wont worry about the 6 pounds if i were you.

  • I run just over a mile everyday and then workout right after. I Plan to do it all summer so i hope I'll get in shape before school starts =O
