i've been trying to learn this program for the last few days, and it's quite possibly the most mind-boggling and frustrating thing ever. So far, i'd have to say that Revit absolutely sucks ass. There's pretty much no defending this piece of crap program. Tell me, why are so many firms switching to this shit??? it really makes no sense. Fuck revit, AutoCAD ftw...

@rjs87... You're absolutely right, but don't give up on it. I went thru the same hell, but I stuck to it, and it makes a lot more sense now. For the rest of you, Revit is not the "do it all" answer that many of you think it is. Revit is great for generic "cookie cutter" type designing, but for anything unusual, it falls flat on it's face. For right now, Revit should only be seen as a tool to be used in conjunction with AutoCAD; not as a complete replacement for it.

@rjs87 What doesn't make sense about Revit. You want a wall, you draw a wall. If you want a roof, you draw a roof. You don't need to extrude, draw the shape of the wall, trim overlap in walls or any of that nonsense. Or, maybe you are just too dumb to be able to learn it. It is pretty evident from your limited vocabulary that this just might be the case.

I graduated high school with a 2.8 gpa and It only took me a few hours to learn it.

I found on a website called campustech....the problem is its 2010 and 2010 doesn't work well with 09...just as Desktop 2010 doesn't work well with 09.
