Rail sim? Is it just me or is this like a flight sim for the "special" kids? Other than blowing the whistle, is there anything you actually need to do? Just sit and stare at the scenery going by?

Yes,but you need a good graphics card.

I have run it on mine which is Win Vista.Above Vid is on Win XP

No version of BVE 4 for Vista as yet but there is a work around called Open BVE.

Are you running Vista? If so then I believe there's a workaround because BVE4 doesn't like that bloatware, only XP :D

uhhh how do you get the thing started? i'm looking at this screen and all it says it BVE in big letters but before it showed me an open file window. WHAT DO I DO! thanks nice video

A right-button click should open up the file window.

You need to go to the trainsimcentral website and separately download the tracks and trains you're interested in.

Darn novices!! LOL When you're in the cab, press O and it moves your screen to the right - you should see instructions down the right side of the screen. U moves your view back to the centre. F2 brings up a clock so you can keep to time - F3 brings up your timetable. Make sure you stick to the speed limits and watch the signals, otherwise the autostop kicks in.

Don't the flashing letters in the bottom left corner get annoying?

They do not flash on the actual sim.This is a compressed version using Cam Player and thats why they flash.

You dont have to have the letters there at all.They are to remind you of your motion i.e forward,power setting and brake.there are also a clock,frames per second and a speedo if required.
