@iplaybassandgh2 The car is warmed up this was taking after i got off work and drove home.The car always stayed around 160-180 degrees unless you let it idle for hours on end in 90f heat or hot laped it at the track .Typical use driving to and from work it stayed in the 160-185 range regardless of Weather

Okay cool because im 17 and have a ford probe 4 cyl with a 5 speed manual transmission and its alright I guess >.> but I have been saving up money for an lt1 trans am with a 6 speed and maybe t tops if I can find one. Do you think I can get something like that for 3,500$ or do you think I should save up a bit more money?

Yes you could get one for that i would say you could pick up a lt1 body style for that if you keep your eyes open for one.A friend of mine is selling a 96 trans am for i think like 1 k needs a transmission though.

yes they do make lt1 trans am in the f body .the f body platform was from 1993-2002.

1993-1997 car's have the Lt1 and 98-2002 have the ls1

no you can get them any way you want either the t-56 six speed or the 4l60e auto trans was the options.Mine is factory 6 speed just been beefed up a little bit

best i got was a 12.18 @ 115.6mph.and clutch went out on next pass so i have not been back.Should go 11.90s pretty easy if the rear will hold a good launch and i hook up. Waiting for better weather before i go back.

nope i was just messing around that day and was having fun.I cant go all out and video the car yet because i have no camera mounts for the car unless i can get a buddy to film for me.

yes 1k is my idle,usually six speed cars idle a few hundred Rpm higher than the auto cars unless they have had the idle bumped down.

it could be ,a lot comes into play in what rpm you are at when cruising speeds.

Me i have 4.10 gears so i am reved a little higher than some when i am just cruising down the highway i think in 6th gear at around 65mph i think i am at 2300 or along those lines.i dont remember right off as i don't drive highway much

that was due to a number of things,that was right after the install on mail order tune and street tires so i could not go wide open without spinning.I did not want to take the risk of that trying to video and drive and change gears.

The car moves out pretty good for what it is,i have been tryign to get a good video with someone recording and me driving but have failed to do so .And i have raced a few 240's with swapped engines among other imports

2 of my friends has sr swapped 240 sx's one has a rb in it. another has a ls1 in the 240.Two more buddies have twin turbo 300zx's so i know a lot about imports and what they are capable of IF done properly

again this is just me messing around in the video not going balls to the wall,Speed is not slow i trap 115-116 mph in the 1/4 with just a cam and exhaust in full weight car so its not that slow.

im still game to race Your 240 if you are anywhere semi close,i have ran a few engine swapped 240s and TT 300z's and have yet to lose so i am down

That LS1 sounds real good, but I like the deeper growl of the LT1/LT4 better, but don't overrev the gears like that, open each gear gradually
