It makes just over 1,100 hp to the crank; they're other videos of this car which read 1,100 hp, too.. I wouldn't say first gear is useless in a car that probably develops well over six hundred horsepower on its motor before the twin turbo's kick in. At any rate, its a 300 plus hp difference in a mile race with two cars that weigh pretty close..

What kind of gear ratio are we talking about? In a 1/2 mile, these things are all important. I've seen cars up by 300hp still lose to a BETTER CAR!

The difference between gross weight and curb weight is the total passenger and cargo weight capacity of the vehicle.

Yes if you put a kia forte against a corvette zr1 we should all know what the outcome will be. Nobody is arguing that the world's fastest car is faster than the world's slowest car! But put a nissan gtr against a shelby gt500 and watch that mustang get torn apart. And it makes more power and is lighter than a gtr. That's just one example.

@DoctorNambu This description is wrong. You can google or wikepida the Heffner Performance Ford GT 1000. It makes just over 1,100 hp to the crank; they're other videos of this car which read 1,100 hp, too.. I wouldn't say first gear is useless in a car that probably develops well over six hundred horsepower on its motor before the twin turbo's kick in. At any rate, its a 300 plus hp difference in a mile race with two cars that weigh pretty close..

@MeskovicZ Its not just power that matters, horsepower sells cars; torque wins races. How does the car make the power it makes? Is it all motor, or through forced induction? If so, what kind of induction? What's the displacment? What's the power/weight ratio? Whats the power/torque ratio? What kind of drivetrain are we talking about? What kind of gear ratio are we talking about? In a 1/2 mile, these things are all important. I've seen cars up by 300hp still lose to a BETTER CAR!

let me help you DragTimes, the "GT40" was a race car made in 1969. these are called "Ford GT" if it's tunes, you can call them either A) Ford GT 1000 or B) a GT1000. there is no "GT40" in there unless you're talking about the race car. yes, it's true, both are only 40 inches tall..
