Australia is the same food wise. But it is in summer. So everyone goes for a swim after Christmas lunch. Also alcohol plays an important part. Although we don't have eggnog. Mostly just beer :)

Glad to know Sweden isn't the only country where we LOVE to eat during Xmas xD !!

We have advent calenders too, but I haven't had one for years lol. When I do I end up eating all the chocolate before the last date xD

Oh, also in Sweden we celebrate Xmas Dec 24th, so one day earlier =^.^=

Interesting video! The food looks nice! Never heard of them before though! My family doesn't celebrate Christmas so I can't help you on that! I am rather surprised you had your brother to do an introduction but the ending was funny. HAHA~

Mince Pies & Fruit Cake exist in Canada too, but most people (that I know) hate them. xD We also used to have Advent Calendars, but for the past 2 years, I haven't seen ANY for sale...so I guess they don't sell them here anymore, or just where I live anyway. For Christmas, we eat turkey for dinner, we buy a lot of candycanes, chocolate and peppermint candy...we don't receive or send cards, but we exchange presents and we have stockings filled with small goodies and candy.

I feel like Christmas in the midwest of the US is like Thanksgiving only with a christmas tree and presents x_x we eat turkey and ham and have a huge dinner with the whole family, but the day after thanksgiving we decorate the whole house christmasy

I'm Puerto Rican, so our X-Mas is a different from yours. 1)FOOD: Pork, "arroz con gandules" (I'm not sure what that would translate to in English), potato salad, dinner rolls. 2)MUSIC: No Christmas Carols. Well, at least not like the ones most people sing... We play authentic Puerto Rican music and have "parrandas" (we parade around the neighborhood past midnight and wake people up). 3)After X-Mas, we have Three Kings' Day. More or less like X-mas, but without Santa. We have the Kings. :)

I want books for Christmas :) My family puts the tree up the day after Thanksgiving (*run you poor turkeys run*). We don't take the tree or decorations down until sometime after New Years. Love the chocolate log. I don't think I have tried a minced pie. People tend to eat fruit cake and drink eggnog and of course have random chocolate to devour. Merry Christmas :)

ur so adorable to watch haha i just moved to the philippines from america and they don't even celebrate thanksgiving here. its straight up christmas from like august til even after the new year. they had decorations up around the mall even before halloween! they have parades in the malls every day in december. we celebrate this thing called Simbang Gabi where i think they go to mass every day at like 2am idk i could be completely wrong.. even tho i am filipino im completely american raised.

Merry Christmas to you too! In America, I don't think Christmas is much different. I know people with Advent calendars. Many people have Christmas parties. Mostly everyone has I tree... I still don't x( I hope I get one soon.. What I like about Christmas time is all of the songs! and movies! They make me really warm and fuzzy inside =) I don't really want anything for Christmas this year. Maybe Buono's third concert DVD. Anyway, as always this video helped me with my Japanese =) Thank you!

Thank's for sharing! In Norway, we also have advent calendar.. ^^ I think it's similar to England's, but we eat marzipan shaped like pigs with chocolate.. and way too much sweets! And I don't know about you, but we open our presents on Christmas Eve. ^-^

Christmas in Germany seems to be pretty much the same as in England. We also have an Advent Calender, lots of food, presents, familiy, and of course a Christmas Tree :)
