  • To tbone34608...I'm glad you had a good time. It's my favorite place to fish and relax!!

  • I fishes there last week. Shrimp is the best. And yes people will help. I met some locals and some from Canada, all friendly and willing to help. Do not cast directly off the end of the pier. There are some remnants of the old pier and you'll get Hung. Good luck.

  • Bring a pair if long nose pliers, you can usually unhook any fish with those. I use frozen shrimp (there's a bait shop on the pier and one down the road). There are landing nets on the pier and everyone is willing to help .Live shrimp and finger mullet are good bait for flounder and redfish. If you clean your catch on the pier and buy a couple of side dishes, the restaurant will cook your fish for you. Have fun and I'm looking foward to seeing your videos!!

  • where is sunglow pier

  • @Fin616 ..... Sunglow Pier is in Daytona Beach Shores, Florida

  • @wench1100 I am coming down to Orlando this weekend and wanted to fish here for stingrays, sharks, and smaller sized fish. I find it more fun to get a bunch of dish plate diameter rays than on 5 foot shark. Any bait you reccomend using for this? And how would I go about unhooking the rays? I am not expirienced and last time I ray fished, my guide unhooked it. do people on the pier help? Thanks

  • what is the best bait to use at the peir?

  • It depends on what's biting and what your fishing for. I use fiddlers for sheepshead, finger mullet fit redfish. Shrimp for just about everything else. What most people catch to eat, I catch for shark bait. I use whiting and blues for them.
