  • Jim Carry was the best thing about this movie... An i am a fan of Tommy Lee Jones as well... but this movie was stupid.... Entertaining at some moment's, but without Carry this would have been awful

  • i mean come on two-face is dressing like he came from hot topic or spencers with earings on and the riddler is wearing a princess crown lol even though it's not accurate it's FUCKING AWESOME

  • @FastandFurious450 AND Batman and Robin have epic rubber nipples, just like Ozymandius in Watchmen!

  • thats it BATMAN FOREVER IS A FUCKING MASTERPIECE i just realised how awesome and entertaining this movie is it has EVERYTHING

  • I was scared at first but only at first

  • @pproduction123 ...oh and did I mention that I was scared at first??

  • Great movie!

  • Man if I was that person that was the person at the cashier in the Drive thru I would Freak THE FUCK OUT!!!!

  • Jeez, what's with all the Nolan hate!

As much as I love Begins and TDK, Batman Forever will always be the film that made me a Batman fan. Val Kilmer's Bruce Wayne is soooo underrated .

  • @ShadesAtKnight I have to say, I'm actually a pretty big fan of Nolan, he definitely has some of the best Batman movies in my book. I like his adaption a lot as well as the old ones, but it seems that most people either side with the old series or the new one, lol. I usually tend keep an open mind when it comes to the different interpretations since they all have completely different tones. Plus Kilmer's Batman rocks!

  • There were good moments?

  • Batman Forever = not bad

  • another reason the nolan movies suck is that their contradicotry towards each other during the whole film. "Batman doesnt kill" bullshit even in the one film series that says he doesnt he STILL manages to kill a LOT of people and COPS at that. see Shitman Begins.

  • @theguy782 And not to mention he let Ra's Al Ghul die at the end of Batman Begins AND killed Two-Face in the Dark Knight so... yeah, lol. Funny thing is that Michael Keaton Batman at least seems he doesn't mind killing while Kilmer and Clooney never kill at all (I'm assuming Two-Face survived at the end of Forever since you can see his costume in Arkham in Batman and Robin) but then you have Bale that says he doesn't kill but ends up doing it anyways in a number of situations.

  • I actually watched Batman Forever the other day and I gotta say it's by far the most entertaining one and my second favorite next to Batman Returns. Nolan's movies are too serious, their brilliant movies but not great Batman movies.

To me Forever is just plain fun and thrilling from start to finish, Tommy Lee Jones & Jim Carrey look like their having a blast and Val Kilmer was a great choice.

  • @seglia I liked Kilmer's Batman, he did a really good job! I do have to say I'm not a big fan of Tommy Lee Jones' Two-Face (but that wasn't his fault at all, he was just doing what the studio and director told him to do) but Jim Carrey was really good, he kind of combined the modern Riddler with the one from the old Adam West Batman TV show.

  • 3:05 One of my favorite scenes with Jim Carrey as the Riddler

  • fuck nolans movies i have no respect for them they are boring as shit. batman 1989 & batman forever are my favorite live action batman films and im not afraid to say it. idc what any1 else says. jack nicholson was an AWESOME joker and jim carrey made me a fan of the riddler

  • @FastandFurious450 Honestly, my biggest gripe about the Nolan movies (and I'm saying this even though I personally liked them) is that they leave no room for the more colorful villains like Poison Ivy, Penguin, and Mr. Freeze which is why I love the older ones. It gets annoying when superhero movies become too realistic and what I loved about Batman 1989 and Forever is that they were dark but also had some fantasy elements as well with the characters and action scenes.

  • @thesouz18 yeah i hate realism in superhero movies. dont wanna hear all this political bs in a batman movie. i wanna see likable characters, great storyline, and a lot of action. bale was an unlikable batman his voice was so lame and as bruce wayne he wasnt even all that smart. plus i hate annoying boring preachy dialogue which both bb and tdk had too much of

  • @thesouz18 also nolan doesnt make the characters look like themselves. joker, bane, catwoman, scarecrow all look like cheap cosplays. cant wait til the nolan trilogy is over and we get a new reboot to batman

  • 2:17 gives a new mean to driving some up the wall

  • Nolan's Batman > Burton's Batman > Any other movie Batman

  • hey, that gargoyle at 2:20 looks like the ones in Batman Arkham Asylum :)

  • This movie is not good but also is not entirely bad, if you know what i mean...

  • Jim Carey played the ridler so well

  • As soon as I first saw this movie, and it got to the Two-Face thug blubbering while being electrocuted, I thought, "Oh, it's going to be one of THOSE Batman movies..."

  • lol, I thought Jim Carrey did great as the Riddler.

  • This movie was horrendous. I can't believe some of these scenes were selected as "best" scenes of the movie when in reality, they were some of the worst.

  • @MystikWizard I wasn't literally going for the "best" scenes buddy, lol. I don't think moments like a shot of Batman's ass and the Riddler and Two-Face playing Battleship would actually be considered as great scenes. XP

  • @thesouz18

Ah, gotcha. Lol. I really wish Burton stayed on board as Director for the last two. He would have done ten times better than Schumacher. Even though fans are livid with what he did with Bane, I would have thought I would have heard just as much grief for what he did with Two-Face in this one, as well. Even though I have seen my share of people which didn't like this version of Two-Face, I would have thought it would have been a lot more people than what I've seen.

  • @MystikWizard Huh, interesting. I wasn't a fan of Tommy Lee's Two-Face as well, and yeah Schumacher did ruin Bane, lol. But yeah Burton would have definitely done a really good job with the third and so on. In fact, Billy Dee Williams would have been Two-Face if Burton still had the director's chair.

  • @MystikWizard i have more fun watching batman forever than dark knight ;P

  • @shairaptor Really? I am not a big fan of any real humor in Batman at all. I like Batman and Gotham City to be pretty gothic while the color stays with the villains. At the same time, I don't want them campy and what we saw done here to Two Face was beyond ridiculous. This was not Two Face, but rather a generic villain with a half painted face and a coin. Riddler was simply Frank Gorshin reborn. John Glover played the best Riddler, in my opinion.

  • @MystikWizard I thought the comics (which the movies are based upon) are more colorfun and funny, just like Batman Forever. But yes, Batman & Robin was beyond awful. Freezer was ridiculous, easily Schwarzeneggers worst role, and George Clooney was the worst batman. I like Val Kilmer as Batman very much, he has the right amount of superiority, superhero and just a tiny bit of arrogance as Bruce as well. Who is Frank Gorshin and John Glover btw?

  • @shairaptor

Gorshin is the 60's TV show Riddler. Glover is the voice actor for The Animated Series in the 90's. He played Lionel Luther in Smallville.

  • @MystikWizard thanks, ok :)

  • @shairaptor John Glover ALSO played the evil doctor who pushed Pamela Isley into the poison chemicals before she turned into Poison Ivy in Batman and Robin as well so he's pretty well versed in the DC universe, lol.

  • @thesouz18 lol thanks ok :)

  • @thesouz18

That's right, how could I forget that?

  • @MystikWizard Nah I don't blame you, his role was pretty forgettable, lol.

  • @TheMartialartsJedi true fact

  • Batman & Robin wasn't all bad, but why do people keep sayin it's bad-i just wanna now the reasons

  • @TheOobergoober1 People in general don't like it mainly cause it goes for an extremely campy style rather than the darker Burton and Nolan styles that everyone likes so much. But honestly, as a fan of those movies as well, I still enjoyed it! I really liked the Alfred and Bruce Wayne moments and as stupid as it gets (endless freeze puns, bad dialogue, over the top action scenes), I still get a good laugh out of it. Gritty is fine, but sometimes it's good to have a little fun!

  • Batman Forever an underrated gem :)

  • 2:30 My favorite shot in this film.

    Erhm...is that batman's ass?

  • @killzone10 real mature, and besides, Jim ruled with the spit & crotch grab

  • good cast, bad writers.

  • Did we REALLY need to see Batman's ass?

  • Batman 1989: Fantastic

    Batman Returns: Great

    Batman Forever: Good

    Batman and Robin: BADAWFULTERRIBLESHITCRAPRUBBISH

  • This movie sucks, Batman & Robin sucks more, that simple.

  • @chubistian1 No you.

  • I honestly still think (as a lifelong, ultra-hardcore, regular-comicbook-reading Batman fan, who loves the Nolan movies) that Batman Forever is a terrific Batman film that was of its time and well-suited to its all-ages audience. It made Robin cool and it finally made Bruce Wayne dapper and sexy and it gave Batman some of his best fight scenes ever. I far prefer it to the dismally dark and disturbed Batman Returns (which, in case anyone has forgotten, has rocket-firing Penguins as its plot).

  • @gothamite27 I agree, I personally didn't mind it either, and if they even put in the deleted scenes (the giant bat in the batcave, the newscaster telling batman to quit, etc.) it would have felt more complete and edgier. My only gripe is that I felt that the villains were lacking and weren't up to par with Phiffer's Catwoman or Nicholson's Joker. Jim Carrey wasn't too bad but Tommy Lee Jones should have been more serious, which would have made a more interesting contrast between the two.

  • @thesouz18 As an avid Batman lover (comics, movies, games, and all) I think Jim Carrey wasn't quite the comic book version, but he still made it work, like Heath Ledger and Cillian Murphy did with the Nolan versions. He made it his own, at a time when Jim Carrey wasn't fully discovered yet. Though, I am, and always will be disappointing with Batman & Robin, mainly because of the depiction of Bane, who deserved more than what they degraded him to.

  • @GloofiE Yeah, that movie definitely screwed up Bane! At least they, for the most part, got Mr. Freeze and Poison Ivy right. Chris Nolan's Bane seems like he'll work well, even if he may not be completely like the comic and cartoon versions.

  • @thesouz18 I think it'll work. Tom Hardy seems right for the role. I also like the retro Catwoman look that Anne Hathaway's got going. Plus, Scarecrow is making a making another appearance, which should be interesting. I'm glad they're going back to the Ra's Al Ghul story. Liam Neeson did a great job in Batman Begins and I'm hoping they build on his story more in this one.

  • @GloofiE Oh cool, I didn't know Scarecrow was coming back! And yeah, I did like the Ra's Al Ghul aspect of the first as well. I'm sure Tahlia Al Ghul will make an appearance as well which should be interesting.

  • @gothamite27 I liked Batman Forever just for Jim Carrey XD

  • @gothamite27

I agree. I still love Batman Forever. It was still a good Batman film.

It's no where near the Nolan films or the 2 Burton films. But it's still much better than Batman and Robin and it's better than the shitty TV series and it's movie.

  • @gothamite27 So you're saying Batman Forever is good because it wins the special olympics?

Yeah, that's the definition of "terrific" definitely...

  • @gothamite27 the only real problem i have with batman forever is the villians, riddler has always been a b list villian who comes across as joker lite and two face didnt act anything like two face acting more like again the joker, Kilmer and Odonell did fantastic as batman and robin i thought and robin was a great character...well intill he got the suit then shit just went down hill

  • 0:25 He goes for his own Happy Meal figure

    0:44 Riddler invents 3D tv

    0:51 Batman vs Deathstroke

1:59 They needed him in the JLI vs LOD baseball game

    2:36 uhhhh...

3:04 Really? Looks more like everyday soap water to me...

    3:14 Batman approves

  • It would've been amazing if not for Tommy Lee Jones' godawful Two-Face...

  • I hear the director is gay, which explains the odd outfits of Batman and Robin.

  • God this movie sucked

  • @MasterChieeff this movie it's actually good.

  • @LOKBLUDOM3N No... No, I don't think so.

  • @MasterChieeff don't be silly, the movie that really sucked it's Batman and Robin.

You can't say that this movie sucks, Batman acts the way he must. George Clooney acts like a clown.

  • @LOKBLUDOM3N Both of the Batman moves you just mentioned sucked flaming donkey scrotum.

  • @MasterChieeff Ok kid. Ok. What ever you said.

  • @LOKBLUDOM3N Learn to speak English, you fucking retard. You obviously have no taste in literature or films, seeing as you defend atrocious crap like these Batman movies. Stop replying to me. I do not want to hear what you have to say.

  • @MasterChieeff Shut your trap, asswipe.

  • @LOKBLUDOM3N You don't even have an intelligent rebuttal; how typical of a retard like yourself...

I'm finished wasting my time with you. Please desist typing your pathetic, underwhelmingly moronic comments and go do whatever it is kids do for fun these days. Good day.

  • Comment removed

  • @MasterChieeff Excuse me, who's a retard? You're the Retard here mr.Chief. I'm not defending any ''crap movies'' or whatever you said. You should like the movie for what it is. Didn't you watched this once, when you were a kid? If not then i fell really sorry for you asshole. I watched Batman Forever and i find it enjoyable and i highly disagree that the movie sucks at all.

You can start calling me crazy but Joel Schumacher made this movie watchable for kids with not intention to offend anybody.

  • @MasterChieeff Well it seems that you can't agree with that, fine then i'm done chat with a fantard such as you.

  • @LOKBLUDOM3N And two face is just what must be a layer than became a lunatic criminal.

Maybe if this movie have been done in the 60 it will be good for the epoch but when it was done Batman was so much darker than this one.

  • bat butt n bat nips are stupid

  • batman forever reminds me of scooby doo n a way ...idk y...

  • I loved batman forever when i was little. And i love how Schumacher gave it a comedic twist instead of a dark one cuz it made it so little kids could enjoy it and understand it, and after all the cartoons where for the kids. I cant wait to see his new thriller "Trespass." I feel like its gonna be a good one. youtube.com/watch?v=1rolBdc_mjs

  • @gabby6488 Yeah, that's why i like Batman a lot, his movies can work as either dark superhero films or ones that are funnier like this movie and the Adam West one. And yeah, Trespass looks pretty good! Schumacher seems to be pretty good at making thrillers, cause I remember he made Phone Booth about ten years ago which looked cool.

  • Robin: not just a friend...

    Batman: a partner!

    wtf

  • wheres the "you sunk my battleship" part?!

  • @Funnyfish66 i definitely put it in! there's no way i was going to miss out on that, lol, it's at 1:10

  • @thesouz18 my bad. i was skipping through just to find it. I thought i went through the panels slow enough, but I must have missed it.

lol that's my fav part! XD

  • @Funnyfish66 ha ha, no problem, jim carrey had some really funny moments

  • Batman Forever was definitely the best out of the 4 films.

  • Comment removed

  • Val Kilmer was a great Batman. Too bad they chose to have Arnold as Mr. Freeze over him. Schumaher was such a tool during this movie, he favored well known actors over his loyal cast.

  • Come on people, this is not a such terrible Batman movie... At least it doesn't have a Bat Credit Card.

  • @DeepEye1994 I actually didn't mind it either, I thought it did a good job at tapping into Batman's psychology which the other films at the time didn't do as much. Plus I thought Robin wasn't that bad in this one, he had a good origin story, and he wasn't nearly as annoying as he was in Batman and Robin, lol.

  • @thesouz18 How was Robin in Batman&Robin? "NEEEHHMEGNEMEGNENEMENEE! MUGNEMUNEMEGNEMEH! ! !" Nostalgia Critic XD

I'm surprised that someone interested in my affermation "this is not a such terrible Batman movie" answered me in a good way thinking with my same opinion on Batman Forever! I sadly expected somebody that yell "A BAT CREDIT CARD?!!?" quoting Nostalgia fucking Critic... Anyway good thinking on this movie

  • @DeepEye1994 Ha ha, thanks! I actually did shoot my ceiling and everywhere else after I heard Bat Credit Card, XP. I guess I just need to CHILL OUT, lol.

  • @thesouz18 ..."Chill out" ha ha ha. You just break the ice. ...Oh My God THIS IS CONTAGIOUS ! ! !

  • Gotham, city of conveniently placed gargoyles and mobsters who drive cars filled with explosives.

  • dis batmobile is simply awesome.. d best one ever..

  • I saw most of this film on TV, and found it to be terrible.

  • this film look like parody od the nolan's batman

  • @alternate89 Believe me, if you think this is bad, you haven't seen anything yet once you've seen Batman and Robin. This one at least tried to have some serious themes, despite the villains being constantly over the top, lol.

  • I like Jim Carrey. I like him a lot. But he is the least threatening man on the planet. He does not belong in a Batman movie.

  • @keybearersora

The Riddler wasn't meant to be the most threatening man on the planet.

  • @playa318 I was ok with the Riddler not being as threatening, but they definitely needed to make Two Face more that way cause he was bouncing around and giggling way too much for a guy who got half his face burned off, lol.

  • @thesouz18

You are very correct. I think Carrey influenced Tommy Lee Jones too much.

  • @playa318 Yeah it seemed like a battle of who could be the campiest, lol.

  • @thesouz18

Mmh, I'm not sure. Jim Carrey was being wacky, but there was a few scenes where Jones was very dark and played an excllent two face. There were also scenes where he acted like a caffeinated maniac instead of how two face should act.

  • @playa318 Actually you're right, there were some noteworthy scenes, especially his beginning monologue.

  • Dammit ipad keyboard WTF alfred died ?! (sobbing)

  • @captainspockify Yeah, and it was only a few months ago too. Believe it or not though, he was 94 years old, so at least he lived for a while.

  • WTF alfred dked

  • 0:12 DAT ASS.

  • 0:13 (makes fart noise)

  • only me who found alot of homo-erotic innuendos in this movie???

  • Tommy Lee Jones's Two-Face was designed too much like the Joker, laughed to much, and was to playful. I don't see how half of your face burning magically makes you a psychotic bastard, who finds joy in murder. Not even the comics Two-Face was like that.

  • @NatDuv121 Couldn't have said it better myself! I've always personally preferred the Aaron Eckhart Two-Face over Tommy Lee Jones.

  • @thesouz18 Yep, this Two-Face had no motivation. No real purpose but to replace Tony Zuco as th man who killed the Graysons, and other than that, was pretty useless. I think Hugo Strange should have been included, either with Riddler or Two-Face, but none of those two together.

  • @thesouz18 I never really got Eckhart's Two-Face. So, what, he decided he was on The Joker's side because The Joker only "accidentally" killed his girlfriend, and was enough for him to suddenly hate his former allies? Tommy Lee Jones' Two-Face is a bit like Ledger's Joker, where they are introduced fully formed with no character development whatsoever.

  • @kalvaza Well he wasn't technically on the joker's side since he would have killed him if the coin landed on the other side. The other thing is the old Harvey Dent actually was in the first Batman movie as the district attorney who supported Batman just like the first half of the Dark Knight. So when came the third Batman movie he just all of a sudden became crazy and wanted to kill Batman even thought Batman tried to save him from a mob boss, and that never really added up for me.

  • @thesouz18 Ah, I haven't seen the first couple of Batmans since I was a kid - didn't know Dent was in those. It was briefly said Two-Face blamed Batman for the incident, but it wasn't really explained why. And also why he kept referring to himself as two people throughout the movie. So irritating. :P

  • @kalvaza Ha ha, yeah, not many people remember Dent in the original. Believe it or not, he was played by Billy Dee Williams!

  • @NatDuv121 actually in the documentary- Joel wanted to reboot Batman (his inspiration for Batman Year One) for Forever but the studios didnt want him so maybe to compromise he made Two Face act more like The Joker....

  • @BadWolf117Returns I wish they let him reboot. I feel the movie might have been better if he did.

  • How does acid boil???

  • @hajisgirl50218 Lol.

  • "Oh no! It's boiling acid!" Fucking stupid movie...

  • @TheNexus18

Cause it's so much worse than, "Got to go. Girl talk." (Batman Returns)

  • lol nicely put together.

  • @AFitz1174 thank you!

  • It's because of crappy directors like Schumauher people attack homosexuals.

  • @NatDuv121

Coming from someone who probably hasn't seen a single one of his other films.

  • @SLPIFan Ok, what does that have to do with it? Batman Forever and Batman and Robin were crappy.

  • @NatDuv121

You didn't call the films crappy, you called the director crappy. Something you can't judge if you haven't seen any of his other films. (and for the record FOREVER is a lot better than it's given credit for, people just too strongly associate it with and lump it over with BATMAN & ROBIN and whine about Burton and Keaton leaving. Not a perfect movie by any stretch, not as good as BATMAN 89, but not bad.)

  • @SLPIFan Actually, I did, twice, and the director was crappy, hell his best movie was The Wiz, the freakin Wiz. Batman Forever did suck. 1. I hated the fake muscles, Two-Face's campy nature, and his entourage, when the hell has Two-Face ever had minions? Why the hell would he need one, it gave us no reason as to why he was so villainous, also, no Catwoman. They left a major cliff hanger which would have been great in the next film, and choose "Batman stressed out about life instead".

  • @NatDuv121 Y

So one of the only other movies of his you've seen is the Wiz? What was the other one you decided to watch INCREDIBLE SHRINING WOMAN? Are you just looking for his weaker stuff? Check out A TIME TO KILL, PHONE BOOTH, THE LOST BOYS, THE CLIENT, or FALLING DOWN if you want to seem some of the good stuff he's made.

  • @NatDuv121 (Cont)

    1. Batman wore a muscle suit in the two Burton films.

    2. I didn't care for his campy nature (But that was TLJ's fault, in many interviews before the film's release Schumacher mentioned how hard it was to work with him and how he wouldn't listen to directions) And what do you mean he hasn't had minions? In the comics he's been a crime boss! He was villainous because of the scarring (though I wish he had a better plan than just revenge)

  • @SLPIFan 1. In the Burton Films, they weren't so tightly designed, seriously, nippels? 2. There was a simple solution they could have chosen, and that's fire Tommy. 3. The reason this was so kid friendly and light, was because they wanted it to be toy-etic. And Two-Face seldomly ever used minions, and as for the crime boss part, I think you're confusing him with Black Mask or Penguin.

  • @NatDuv121

    1. I agree. The nipples were a bad idea. But that in all actuality is a minor complaints. The rest of the costume was pretty good.

2.Tommy Lee Jones had a lot of clout at that point he had just won his Oscar for THE FUGITIVE. The studio wasn't going to let that star power leave the film.

    3. That's why I said he's been a crime boss, not that he is a crime boss. It's taking from one iteration of his character which has changed and been different over the years. I know my Batman.

  • @NatDuv121 (Cont2)

    3. Nothing I can really say on the Catwoman thing. I'm disappointed we didn't get to see here again either, but the studio probably wanted to distance this one from RETURNS as much as possible because of how un-kid friendly it was. While this was was more kid-friendly and lighter in tone, it wasn't as mindlessly stupid as its successor. And I'll say this, I like RETURNS but they gave Bruce more of a character arc in this one than they did in RETURNS.

  • @NatDuv121 No. The show Will&Grace make people think that homosexuals are annoying and weird persons.

  • Jim Carrey Oh how you are just a stinker!! XD lol He was AWESOME as Riddler!

  • "Can I persuade you to take a sandwich with you, sir?"

    "I'll take drive-thru."

And what you got up with? Stealing a Taco Bell?

  • @NewSuperAvenger nah he's classier than that, he probably went for a combination taco bell and pizza hut.

  • sorry for the title changes, i just changed it back since i didn't want to confuse anyone any further, lol.

  • you changed the title?

  • @TheSparkyG i did actually, i wasn't sure if a number of people originally got the point of the video. do you think it would be better if i changed it back?

  • @thesouz18 I mean I watch this vid regularly, I think it would be better if you change it back because the title sounds more appealing in the vid bar.

  • @TheSparkyG ha ha, i'm glad to know you like it! yeah i changed it back cause i thought it would be a little too confusing if i changed it after putting it up a year ago.

  • I'm pretty sure this should be the BEST Moments in Batman Forever

  • "OH NO , ITS BOILING AAAAAACIIID!" haha always makes me laugh, if the guy was such a sissy why did he become a security guard!

  • Errrr........um....yyyyeeeeeaaahhhh.

  • I love this movie, sure it's stupid, but so is burtons.

The diffrence here is, not a fucking goth land.

  • jim carrey is awesome

  • Jim Carey was MADE for the role of the RIDDLER

  • @BeansVikings A shame he didn't play him right

  • Bat-Ass lol XD

  • I LOST COUNT! HAHAHAHA!!!

  • "I was scared at first but only at first." I do that all the time accidentally whenever I'm talking but only on accident

  • haha gotta love the cheesy effects

  • He he. Giggles all over... ^.^
