Also, while US did not apologize, they DID however compensate in the amount of a little over $200,000 per passenger to the families of the victims on the airliner. @EattherichBuddy There is a difference between an accident and purposely hijacking airlines to attack on a countries soil. Also, while US did not apologize, they DID however compensate in the amount of a little over $200,000 per passenger to the families of the victims on the airliner. I am not saying it makes it right, it was wrong to have attacked the airline with a partial blind eye to the identity of it, however, it was an accident, right or wrong. What those terrorist jackasses did was not.

A lot of people don't know or don't care that Saddam was supporting the same terrorists that carried out 9/11. Also with the intelligence the President had at the time it was suspected that Iraq itself under Saddam's rule would be carrying out state sponsored terrorism attacks on the US and that they would be doing it with WMDs. Yes, we certainly are unfair by obeying the Geneva convention by not using hollow-point/extra damaging bullets that could cause excess harm to people who kill children. That would be wrong, right?

@SoulCaptain90 There's a difference (though it probably doesn't make a difference to those innocents that died) The US is replying to an attack on our soil. The US military tries to avoid civilian deaths, in fact the precision munitions developed were so because this is one of the primary reasons.
Also remember that the "courageous" enemy fighters hide behind women, children, and old folk, and in Mosques and hospitals as part of their own tactics.
