Its not a good idea to restrain the airplane with ropes around the elevators or rudder or standing in front of the elevators. The engines in the giant scale airplanes are very powerful, they will rip the elevators off their roots when the engine is revved up. See how the pros do it in the videos. Giant scale airplanes are a whole different ballgame; these are not .40 size glow airplanes.
