The openning section is mostly under the note and the pitch problems continue throughout. As for the rest, well, you could hardly call it bel canto. The approach is too heavy and the phrasing very un-Verdian. The cape swooshing is also very distracting. The descent from the top note is clumsy.
There's something really thrilling about Caballe's version of this too-often-overlooked cabaletta. I love the full-throttle sound, and yet she has the nimbleness to do the coloratura (though there are spots that leave some precision to be desired). I'm so happy to see these cabalettas, so thank you coloraturafan!
I love her.... but there´s something in her middle range that sometimes makes her sing out of tune. Anyway, I´ll always love her!!!
