  • Thirteen people were conned by Mr. Popeil.

  • LOL 1:41 - 1:43 That's about as good as I could do - good call.

  • My dad worked for Ron Popeil and his dad Sam Popeil back in the early 70s. We actually own alot of the stuff mentioned in this song.

  • Good job buddy!

  • at 44-52 the stick-man looks like it has boobs bouncing up and down

  • Not bad, but the car does not have a vinyl top!

  • this is about Ron Popeil

he was like the first billy mays, in case you didn't know

he died before I was born i think

  • I don't think he's dead. Saw him on an infomercial. He gave away 42 knives for 19.99. Seriously.

  • i actually read some where this is a tribute to sam popeil, ron's father.

  • Make me buy a garden weasel!!!!

  • You could even cut a tin can with it! But you woundn't WANT TO!

  • @LadyLay22 Best line in the song.

  • INFOMERCIAL.

  • I remember Ron Popiel invited Al to perform a live version on his Informitial show. Have you seen Ron's daughter? She is hot.

  • I love this!

  • i love weird al, im a huge fan and i have all his albums but good effing god the girls in this song make my ears bleed, i love the song but god those girls, like nails on a chalkboard

  • Believe it or not one of the girls happens to be Mr. Popeil's daughter Lisa, who is listed as a backup singer on many of Al's albums. They sound a lot like the B-52 girls so they do a good job - so they must give you the same chalkboard effect?

  • no the b-52 sound better then this but interesting fact none the less

  • @funnystuff1284

LISA IS ACTUALLY HIS SISTER NOT DAUGHTER

RON LIVES IN BEVERLY HILLS NOW!

  • Al does such an awesome job copying other band styles, even if it's not a parody of a real song...I'm sure the B-52's were impressed

  • The black-white is too fast.

  • One of my favorite Weird Al songs! You put a really fun video together for it... great job!

I was telling my daughter about the old Ginsu knives commercial, so after watching that on YouTube I had to play her Weird Al's tribute to infomercials.

  • Ron was actually so impressed by this song that he used it in an infomercial.

  • Love this song! haha

Weird al is weird! lmao good video!

  • haha good job on finding a bunch of mr. popeil's products to put them in this video. nicely done =)

  • Slices, Dices, and Tin Cans are wrong.

  • Very good. =]

  • Wow,they sound just like the 'B52's'!!Maybe they're related?! Either way,its a fun video!

  • Weird Al is famous for his style parodies, this being one of The B-52s.

  • yeah.. dare to be stupid was an awesome tribute to devo

though i hear mark mothersbaugh didn't like it

    everybody's a critic

  • @manic486 Mark Mothersbaugh actually liked the song. However, according to him, Weird Al had made the "perfect Devo song" and he hated him for doing so...

  • @lizs004 Actually that was dare to be stupid. This is not a parody, its a song done in the spirit of the B-52s

  • Comment removed

  • This sounds just like the B-52's?

    HUH???

Weird Al is talented, in a peculiar sort of way. But The B-52's are easily one of, if not the, best band in musical history (closely followed by Pansy Division... and then Oingo Boingo, Madness, Devo and The Clash).

But I wouldn't exactly compare a parody artist to The B-52's. That's kinda like comparing commercial jingles to Mozart.

  • Considering this is a parody of the B-52's it's a valid comparison.

  • Oingo Boingo you say!? You sir win an internetz! A winrar is you!

  • Way to miss the point.

  • Commented 2!
