  • I simply don't understand death and black metal, why fuck up the vocals and turn it into noise?

  • @4515970 no,no,no its more than that much more....theres the thempo and other major arpeggios too ...but galdino solo has much more time and melodies than malmsteen but the beguining is a ripp off to me.but "la leyenda ..."is a totally diferent song except for this part

  • I like Vital Remains version better.

  • this is still my favorite Live DVD music video. I need to buy a new one since I've worn out mine over the years.

  • malmsteen at his best times , great imrpovisations and great creativity

  • i am very impress on other guitar players who has been said exceed malmsteen. but that doesnt matter because they cant be malmsteen on guitar ways. some do his composition and they do look best but fuck., i cant forget malmsteen when they doin it. its like i want to see and listen to malmsteen itself.

  • i dont see anyone so rocking lively as malmsteen do. his movement jives with his music. thats a total performance. if anybody want a perfecto micro second precision. then just listen and buy album with no video. his soul interpret devastation music realm. no one can easily understand that because thats what him.. has anyone heard study of personality of soul as 1,2,3? fuck who say yes.

  • probably. yngwie style is another realm in technique in guitar. thats the realm of malmsteem. i may say other are much good than him but the best thing is his realm rocks. rocks like a GOD of war and power.

  • He had trouble with the solo (too little gain?) after the arpegios, but saved the day with his clean legato, just to almost ruin it again at the end with the tapping. He didin´t see the time for the solo to end.

  • so vital remains does a cover of this band?i didn't knew that....

  • Totally, no doubt, no one could touch him back then, how many people can say they were once god?

  • one of the best live performances ever

  • Yngwie Malmsteen and Jeff Scott Soto are gods. But sadly Malmsteen isn´t what he used to be. But hey, he ruled back in the 80´s.

  • he's so a great musician!!

  • best singer he ever worked with.

  • Malmsteen's the man, and Jeff Scott's vocals fit his stuff like a glove!!!!

  • i personally like the Vital Reamins version, but this is fucking awesome aswell

  • yngwie goes off-beat sometimes

  • I got his DVD of malmsteens crazy babbling guitar solos live in japan and the marches out cd by rising force and it was awesome.

Other of my favorite guitarist's are:

    adrian smith

    kai hansen

    alexi laiho

    michael schenker

    rudolf schenker

    uli jon roth

    ritche blackmore

  • The Vital Remains Version is killer too!..but Originals are always awesoem!

  • Wheres the great acoustic intro?

  • is this song nice? i don't think so

  • Qué temazo !!!!

  • i like death metal but no death metal guitar player matches yngwie

  • Finally someone realizes :D... Yngwie is the greatest ever . And a lot of death metal band music sounds difficult but it isnt.

  • when you start learning guitar stuff it doesnt take long to realize things like that, youll probably agree. most ppl think brutal=skilled, not allways so

  • Yes brutal stuff is mostly really low tuned and really fast but the solo's are fucked up most of the time , there are a lot of crazy brutal shredders but i think its all the same and they have to focus too much on the guitar thats not metal !! metal is jumping around while playing crazy riffs and if u wanna get even crazier , singing at the same time

  • there is a death metal guitarist who blows away yngwie actually. his name is muhammed suicmez hes the guitarist for german technical death metal band necrophagist. his riffs are godly and his solos rape. yngwie is great too though and he is one of my main influences

  • Fuck off, Malmsteen was far earlier than suicmez, and the latter is a fucking pig. Hail to the true shredder god.

  • the japanese still pump their fists like that this very day

  • fuck off for the dath metal fans support malmsteen up the malmsteens fuck the fuckings guitar players slowly kids dont thinkh shit of the great guitar chieff

  • yes they look like clowns today and I was at their shows at the time and it was the norm back then just like today where white kids dress like rappers which is already embarassing and will look infinitely worse 20 years from now

  • They look like fucking clowns! lmao!!!

  • I'm sure that 20 years from now, the kids will say the same thing about the face-pierced, tattoo-wall papered, grunting-sounding metal acts of today.

    /

The biggest difference between them is that Malmsteen doesnt commit plagiarism like Walter Giardino. Rata Blanca's "La leyenda del hada y el mago" is a vile copy of this awesome song.

    Yngwie Malmsteen>>>>>>>Walter who?

  • Comment removed

  • @hugovillanueva Yeah, and this song is heavily similar to "He's a woman, She's a man" from Scorpions...

Thats how music evolves and is passed to one generation to the other, especially Heavy Metal, is very hard to be completely original nowadays...

  • jeff scott soto vocals are incredibly power full, he could easily give ronnie james dio a run for the money! With out a doubt yngwies best vocalist!

  • Only if I coulda been there ;).....

  • Not a joke, I herd that before this. Brutal vocals, awesome cover.

  • Vital Remains 'brutal vocals' sound like they're trying too hard to sound tough or 'evil' lol, they actually make me laugh a lot, but meh, I can't believe that ppl actually enjoy that and call it music

  • its theyre fucking style, asshole

  • Saw Malmsteen in Chicago right after Cliff Burton died. Damn, what a bummer of a show...except YM was great. A true showman.

    Randy

  • what he siad..

  • Jajajajajajaja La leyenda supera a Disciples of Hell????? jajajajaja

  • Quien dijo esa pandejada?

  • puro plagio no ma

  • Vital remains does a better version of this song

  • i love this song , but i lik ethe way vital remains did it ...its bitching when you hear glen go , THE GATES OF HELL SHALL OPEN !!

    then the sick double bass!!!

  • I can´t see no better matches in music industry for Scott Soto and Lyn Turner, that with Malmsteen. In my opinion all the later singers are lame. The singed musics made by Malmsteen style only do good with the technical and spiritual feeling of Soto and Joe. Sorry, but it would be great if Malmsteen revitalized those eras and brang the vocal power of any of those 2 singer mentioned by me, back to his band. Every fan agrees with that.

  • I was reading an interview with JSS on a YJM fansite, and Jeff said that he couldn't even sing like he did back in 1985!

  • Interesting reply !!! Thanks. IT´s true that the vocal chords are everchanging. Even Malmsteen playing is more sloppy, less vigorous. But still great. Well, hope for new SOTO´s ehheh...if they appear hehe.

  • the soto shit was definately the best

  • The Soto stuff sounded hungrier, and did less repeating....imo

  • nice headache boxes

  • I would fucking love it if Yngwie and Jeff decided to actually create their own solo project, because honestly, this was the best era for Yngwie- they created such remarkable songs together.

Besides, doesn't Jeff have his own little tributes to Yngwie in his live shows where he plays Rising Force and Marching Out material?

  • great technique of ynwgie pre-car crash. i'd be fckin depressed if that happened to me..

  • come on, man... this car crash thing is a great bullshit.. take a look at YM`s playing in Leningrad.. or listen to Odyssey.. he was perfection back then. he's getting sloppy over the time.. don't know why, but he's not the same from the 80's and early 90's, I can't understand. the only thing I know is that you can't say the main reason for this was the car accident.. because he did great stuff and played GODLY soon after that ocurred!

  • its prob because he worries to much about gear.

  • Que Cancion! Fijate que se escribe "Disciples"

  • Reminds me some good old times!!! Marching out is a perfect record!!! Good to the last drop!!!
