having said what I just wrote. I took your advice and tried the program/firefox extension, and you're 100% right. I LOVE it. Going to use this to grab all the youtube vids I dig. thanks for the advice and your vid.

reason it's downloading at speeds that aren't possible on your modem is because it's probably downloading from your windows cache. Hence why you get files you are listening to or watching so fast. Try downloading something you don't have cached. Just my thought. You can't download at 2000 /kbs on a 2400 baud modem.

told ya its speed isnt really fast YOUR computer first has to download it IT then downloads its from Your temp Folder But on occasion it does Download it by itself :)

well once you have the plugin click the side down arrow BUT it only works once the file is loaded once the video has finished loading on the page it will then download it from your TEMP folder to your desktop

But it will be in FLV form which WMM cant open you have to find an FLV to AVI converter on google to make it editable...

I was about to say the same...

You CAN NOT download faster than your line supports (apart from the usual data compression). The FlashVideo files are downloaded WHILE watching and DownloadHelper finds them in the cache and copies them to your destination. Maybe sometimes it copies some and downloads the rest, if it hasn't been finished at that very moment. Though - DownloadHelper saves me time looking for those files in the cache manually. Great tool!
