Community Rejects Dolores Huerta on MayDay 2011

Dolores and the UFW have not organized anything since Cesar died. The ufw has about 6,000 members, down from thousands. Dolores has become a lobbyist for the democratic party. Shame on her for betraying Cesar.

Cesar would have marched with the people, not sat in an air conditioned room with politicians like Dolores Huerta did.

As a Latina documentary filmmaker and supporter of revolutions worldwide, it saddens me that people don't see the difference between productive protests and chaos. It is contradicting to expect the peoples voices to be heard while at the same time taking away the voice of one of America's most influential women, Latina at that, and a founder of the UFW. Whether I agree or not with many of the Democratic issues, I felt cheated from forming my own opinion, as Dolores was rudely interrupted.

Organize farmworkers whose sweat, blood and tears are left in the fields. STOP supporting the Democrats who sleep in the same bed with Republicans whose moral code is: Profits before People! How many UFW contracts are in effect in any corpo...rate owned fields en California? What company is the UFW organizing against at the moment? How many actual UFW members does the union have today? I don't have the answer does anyone? Please share if you know the whole truth.

One of the organizers was one of the first founders of the UFWA who dedicated along with his family over 25years to the UFW organizing the boycott in Pittsburgh but she dares to ignore him!Shame on you dolores! 2) AgJOBS remedies H2-A by creating a path to citizenship for millions upon millions of farm workers. Tell me how this is a bad thing? So you call it slave labor? And yet you continue to buy fruits and vegetables from the super market? It is essential that we honor farm worker labor and support legislation that will help our people step out of the shadows with respect. These issues won’t get solved by screaming at anyone, especially one of the greatest civil rights leaders of our time.

@pedroinfante1957 the rhetoric behind it agjobs is a new bracero program! If the UFW wanted to create a solution it would join for a honest immigration reform that ends trade agreements and so on!Or support EFCA so it makes it easier to organize workers! But the UFW has now become a family affair who thinks the union is only theirs when it belongs to the rank and file workers! Cesar's vision of organizing does no longer exsist!

@pedroinfante1957 The union who cesar and hundreds organized to found meant all those fields organizers the true creators of the union who never get credit because its a pile of crap if anyone thinks it was just cesar and dolores does no longer exist! I have not heard any news of the UFW fighting for contracts but constantly i get emails begging for money to bus workers to the capital and kiss politicians in the ass! The real fight is out in the fields!Pass the message!

Dolores Tries to feed us crap that its the republicans and so on and our people got pissed off tired of always hearing that! No one went to hear some bullshit and which is why the chants came! Dolores at our May 1st march decides to come out from the convention and doesnt even ask to speak or gets in line but then trys to interupt and gets on the mic to tell us we shouldnt be protesting the democrats! Well first off we have never been to any of her events and done the same we would of asked to speak then she right away blames republicans and well i agree republicans are to blame but we already know that there A-holes no need to waste our time protesting them since there against us!

again @Fuerzatriplea, If we are then lets consider that believing in incremental change and negotiation is ONE way that people who believe in human dignity struggle for it. In light of the fact that some people are calling for violence against the undocumented I would say she's part of that struggle. I don't know what your particular struggle is though so maybe I'm wrong about that part. If that's thee case retiro lo dicho.

The proposal contains two main parts:
