I'm curious too. I like the speed with which your bot runs, but it doesn't look like it has any metagame AI, such as attempting to create hypercubes where possible or those full row/column exploding gems.

Curiously, I was wondering what programming language you used as well. I would write such a thing in AutoIt, but as it is with AutoIt scripts, the more intelligent they are, the slower they tend to run :-\

I wonder if the speed/brains trade off would actually increase the score =)

I've written programs in C and Python to solve word games but how did you make a program view the screen and move the mouse? What language and libraries did you use?

For the panic mode you've implemented, wouldn't it be much more efficient if the bot moved every other gem (with every other row starting on the first column) in a specific direction and altering the direction four times until a match is made? Try it out.

You say it plays like a human, but much faster. While I see that, it appears it makes multiple moves at the same time, an action which is likely impossible by a human using a mouse.

@bacardipardy the mouse movement is almost instant, that's why. Muuuuuch faster. It would be a waste to make it move anywhere near as slow as a human.
