KZPS and KZEW were never the same station. KZEW was a Belo property that was sold to Cox. The call sign was changed to KKWM and The Zoo was dead.

KZEW 97.9 Dallas/Ft.Worth was my favorite rock and roll station as a teenager and probably even today. But it is no longer in existence. About 1990, it became, KZPS 92.5 and played classic rock. The station had an awesome assortment of DJ's and always seemed to play the right collection or rock and roll tunes.
