  • how do you change screen angles? i can't figure that out

  • where can i get the samples he uses in all his vids?...

  • @MrBackToTheLab Buy the record. It's "Superseal" the best selling scratch record ever

  • The fader is reversed. Only Qbert can did that.

  • 1:50 is probably the greatest thing I have ever seen.

  • JUST SICK

  • funny how im watching this on youtube and just realized that i had this dvd years ago.....thats what happens when you become an emt and stop djing and start again....scratching is way more fun than saving lives lol

  • im left handed, shouldmy lft hand be on the record or on the crossfader?

  • @Zkrudriverz the left turntable's vinyl. unless you wannah teach yourself righty.

  • @chicostick90 so confused

  • @Zkrudriverz i'm a righty, I find it more comfortable to use the fader with my right hand, but it essentially comes down to preference.

Being ambidextrous is obviously the ideal way to be for scratching.

  • what is this fot a vinyl?

  • this is an ad or a tutorial ? shiiit move that shit from the video u faggot

  • Scratchlopedia Breaktannica... My Man!!!! Finally got onto the interweb to see some more your shit..

  • the turntable is a Technics 1200 mk2 and the record what q is using are "Superseal Breaks"

and the mixer is the Vestax PMC-07

  • Vestax PMC-07 PRO ISP =)

  • @Charuto7 How much can I get a pmc 07 isp for used???

  • what kind of set up is that? i want vinyl turntables to skratch with...

  • GET THAT FUCKING BANNER OUT OF THE WAY.

  • thts fk awesome table

  • of course????? OMg

  • no you can watch the platter and the mixer and ...nothing from that side of the mixer. So He must have done it some other way

  • he's got x-fader on cuz he feels more comfortable scratching that way

  • oh wow qbert scratches hamster, i never knew that.

  • hahahahhahha! 2:13 hahaha looks funny!

  • is his cross fader backwards?? from start to 50:sunthin?

  • Q bert scratch Hamster Style (reverse crossfader).

  • name song ?

  • if you mean the beat in the background its a beat on the b side of qberts battle record 'super seal' its just a bet to scratch to. hope i was f some help.

  • These are boogers!...

  • The best one i think is Serato, just to solve the CDJ / Turntable debate.

but in the end, it is the audience who wil decide on this one, whether u scratch anywhere even on your head, and tyhey dance to it, everythings ok :)

  • the only scratch i can do is a transformer and i cant crab that good but i can flare a little

  • ponerlo en españolll aaaaa

  • on the cdjs its tha same. i learned to scratch from these videos and i have the cdj 1000z.

  • Scratching on CDJS is just not the same, first of all a huge part of scratch skills is not letting the needle skip, this extreme hand sensitivity is a huge part of scratching and most of the upper level scratches cannot be performed properly without this foundation of skill which is unique to actual Vinyl. while it can be done CDJs simply lack the sensitivity to really perform your best. besides how dorky are you? Wheels of Plastic just not the same as Wheels of Steel! (diecast aluminum)

  • actually i think think scratching on a cdj is hard because its less visual and you cant really watch what ure doing thats why i scratch vinyl

  • i would say cdjs are more for electronic music and long mixes rather than scratching.if u wana scratch get tables and vinyl. if your gona do clubs/raves get serato. and if u get serato it doesnt really matter if u use cdjs or turntables..theyre just your hardware, its all commin from the pc anyways

  • true

but i still like usen vinyl in the clubs

  • bro you can do any kind of music with tables and serato, its all about vinyl man fuck cdj's

  • Agreed.

  • the price of cdj's is ridiculous, loads os people have turntables

  • wts tht LP call?

  • Super Seal v.1 (there's also super seal 2) get both if you like, got both from ebay.

  • where can i get that sound to use on my torq

  • get a break record you lazy fuck

  • BUY THEM FOR ME

    DUMB FUCK

  • real djs buy and support music!

You'll never know what it is to

    crate dig

which is like 50% of what djing is fool!

  • Google search for "scratch records", and click the 2nd link. It's a store of vinyls that let you hear the demo, basically they have all the scratch sounds too. Prob is you gotta hunt for a clear sound one, all of Qbert's are low quality, but almost all new vinyls from other ones are good quality. Or if you want the sound with wav (highest quality) google for "Serato Scratch Sentence" and it'll come up somewhere.

  • thanx man

  • are they 1200 mk2s?

  • yup

  • that's a damn nice mixer.

  • how much does a turntable go for. i want one..

  • a decent one...$399 usd for new. Used is always a good option. Get direct drive. Don't venture below st-80 with stantons...tt-500 with numark. You can't go wrong with vestax except they have a plastic shell.

  • Look for any used Technics 1200. It's the standard and will last forever if looked after properly. Even if you find one that is damaged, there are countless Technics service centers around so you can get it refurbished at a reasonable cost. I bought a broken 1200 MK5 for $100, serviced it for $50 and now runs like new. Excellent value for money :)

  • £5

  • I have had a skratch kit in my basement for years, but I haven't bothered to learn how to use it. Today, right after I finish watching youtube, I'm going to try it. THANK YOU FOR TEACHING ME THE BASICS OF SKRATCHING! LOL!

  • cool lol psiderman

  • spiderman and spawn in the bus

    hilarious

  • LOL THE ENDING OF THE VID.

  • Sup bruv, nice video ur a good teacher dude, dope skills. Anyway im completely new to anything hip hop on decks. Been trying a bita scratchin when im not mixing drum n bass, and may seem a noob question but how do u have ur crossfader set when u do the most scratches? Is it sharp or soft? I cant really tell. Any help from anyone would be mad. Peace

  • What mixer do you have? Set the crossfader curve to short when scratching to make it easier for you. Thing is you don't even need a crossfader curve adjustment once you become good enough.

  • man he is qbert the best scratching dj in the planet!are u kidding me??

  • I was answering hockeyrook19's question about scratching. Grow a brain.

  • i think he should b giving u advice

  • Think about what I said then have a look over a few pages. Maybe Youtube is just as stupid as you are since these messages don't appear directly under the post you replied to at times.

If you did "do" school then maybe you would have realised I was replying to hockeyrook19's question instead of looking like an ass.

  • love the ending of the video.

  • yeh dude,, it was the best haha

  • If you're looking for dope new scratches, yeah, get that Skratchlopedia vid. A couple of the other thud rumble vids have the prism scratch in it, which is fairly tight, too.

  • i need both of these dvds!! i cant wait to cop them! other how to scratch dvds are like "this is how u do it" with no explanation! my man Q lets u know!

  • I bought this a long time ago, I highly recommend it.

  • wat hand is ur strong hand.. im right handed is my right hand on the table or the fader? i just new to this

  • its really all in preference. im right handed too, but i scratch with my left and mix with my right.

  • ditto..

its all what you feel good with.

  • the multiple cam looks pretty key

?has there been any significant techniques created lately that have really bugged peoples heads out?

and who's rockin the santa bunny ninja outfit?

  • 1) Check out Scratchlopedia Breaktannica. There might be something there that will interest you.

    2) It's a character that Q created called DJ Lamb Chop.

  • oh

well that's the greatest answer i've ever had

    ultra dope
