  • where can i get this movie???????????/

  • anybody know where you can get this film?

  • Seems like an interesting film but it seems to be a little over politicised on the race thing. Many black south africans served in the SADF as volunteers and some units, like the 32 battalion, were mostly black.

  • Niggas were not allowed in south african army during apartheid?? it was a only white army?

  • No... it wasn't. South Africa's best fighting unit that was involved in all of the major battles during the border war in Angola, was 32 Battalion. 90% of the soldiers in 32 Battalion were Black. Only the officers were white. None the less, there were also black soldiers in other White units, but they were not allowed to fight. Apartheid was meant to seperate white and black, not enslave balck people. Black soldiers had their own units. Also, would appreciate it if you didn't call them "Niggas".

  • Many people when use the word nigga mean it in a friendly way, many black people call nigga among each other,by the way fidel castro said once that the south african army was a racist and white only army......

  • @kondurperusix There's no Apartheid in the foxhole Danni!

  • Really?? is kind of ironic that they were fighting for the apartheid goverment ,this movie shows scenes of battles against cuban soldiers???

  • Ha ha.. Fidel Castro was and still is a communist. South Africa were the only country actaully fighting communism back in the 70's and 80's. Look into it, CIA was funding UNITA, South Africa were allied with UNITA. Angola was the battlefield. Soviet Russia and Cuba were funding MPLA and SWAPO. Lots of puppets in this war. Anyway, there are no scenes with South African soldiers fighting Cubans in this film, only SWAPO. Anyway, the black soldiers that served in 32 battalion were ex Angolan Army.

  • Yeah but is also true that after SA and cuba withdrew from angola the civil war was not over there and conitnue, what about mobutu from zaire??? he was anti-communist too

  • By the way ,what kinf of goverment angola has today?? right winger or left winger,I heard today they are like allies usa,but raul castro visited angola last year.....

  • Yes, the cival war went on for many years after. Jonas Savimbi still trying to take control of the country. Soviet Russia and Communism died in 1989, so did all the funding for all these African nations. South Africa was considered the last domino. All the others had fallen to China and Russia's charms. Today, the countries are at peace, finally. But communism is still around. Even the head of the ANC youth league here in South Africa admitted to being a communist. Fucking idiot if you ask me!

  • There are other nations is africa that have today some kind of civil war

  • I think you missunderstood me. When I mentioned "the countries are at peace" I was talking about Angola, Namibia (then known as South West Africa) and South Africa. They are at peace. What happens in Congo, Sudan/Dafur, all those other African Nations that are at War, has nothing to do with what we are commenting on. The reason they fight is not related to this film.

  • SADF fueron las mejores de africa y una de las mejores del mundo. ¡¡Fueron!!

  • Although nice to see a film about the war, for once I would like to see a movie about the Bush War and not have any racist issues in it!

Someone get out there and make a SADF film about defending Southern Africa from Cuba and the rest of the Communists. That in the end is the true story. One common goal, ONLY GREY, not black or white.

  • @Venom0ZA damn right, the war is full of stories that need to be told!

  • 'you just cant shoot an innocent person'

You call a person whom kills nuns and babies an 'innocent'!?!?

  • Not fucking once in my entire callupp did I hear, any buddy call him a kaffer, white or blck,.....exept du toit oioioi, the pigfarmer who did not belong.Ihave dcidede,at thy call insults the true meaning of war

  • Rooigladiatior. That scene was taken from a true event. It happened. Get over it. Maybe not with you... but it happened. I can show you the exact quote and page where it comes from. This film is not a fabrication to make white ex SADF members feel guilty... THIS IS THE TRUTH. I have, on camera, white ex SADF members who fought in Angola, telling me their stories. This film is based on many of their true stories. So please try get a broader knowledge on the subject before commenting

  • Correct! It happened.... In the end I fought with them, side by side in the same bushwar in Angola, the best spoorsnyer I could wish for! Who is this Du Toit you are talking about - was he a Major in the recces?

  • Well done; hope to see more!
