If you don't have a range pass for williams, you might want to consider going to "the pitt" in lapeer. It's free to go, and you can shoot as fast as you want. It's located on Roods Lake Road in Lapeer, you'll know it is a range when you get there. Also, if you go, be sure to clean up after yourself.

Reggie-don't hold the pistol so that the back of the gun rides over the knuckle of your thumb. Try to seat the grip of the pistol in the meaty part of your hand between your thumb and index finger so that when you hold the gun up it makes a straight line from your shoulder to you hand.

For your budget I reccommend a SKS-D ($200-400or a CZ 858 ($650), if you can afford it. Both fire the same ammo, and it is very cheap ammo. Either of these carbines will be more than suitable for just about any situation, in the city or out.

I must correct that range safety guy; with pistols, do NOT cross your thumbs. Have them side by side, pointing forwards, it assists in using the natural pointing of your fingers to naturally/instinctively point the gun.

Let your arms as a whole elevate to absorb the .45 power instead of your wrists. Hold your wrists strong. BTW - you fucking rock for walking in WM open carry. You also look sweet with the bandoleer at the range - especially the mixed pattern of shells.
Have you thought about buying a 22 pistol Reg? Seems you'd get a lot more practice in with the cheap cost of 22 ammo. Also, have you tried a High powered rifle at the range. They are a blast at longer ranges!
Hey Reg, something I noticed you doing at around 5:45-5:50, it looked like you were "pulling" the trigger with the second pad of your index finger. You have to squeeze with the first pad of your finger. The way it seemed you fired the glock will cause you to pull it right and all your shots to go to the right. Keep a few empties or get some snap caps to do dry fire drills to get out of the habit. I learned by shooting those "puny" rounds you were mocking but learning w/live 45s is expensive
Real Take DEMCAD, you won't last long with those guns. Unless you willing go all out with the US Military during Marshal Law, Its best you don't get too armed. You would be consider a hostel threat. Just a warning.

@DEMCAD You're thinking of the CPL laws. If you have a CPL, you can't CC in an establishment that more then 50% of their business is serving alcohol. My previous comment about OC without a CPL into any place that has a liquor license that allows them to sell alcohol, open or closed, is illegal. I have researched this legislation quite deeply.
Demcad - when you're firing the Glock, you have "flying finger" problems. What that means, is that after you fire, you're snapping your trigger finger forward. Rather than do that, you should only let the finger go forward enough for the trigger to "reset." Try this slowly: Fire AND HOLD the trigger finger back. Then, SLOWLY release pressure on the finger until you feel the trigger click. This is the reset. The gun is now ready to fire again. Practice this, and you'll get tighter groups.

.45 is awesome but I rather have a 9mm because they kick is less. Having control of a gun during a fight is better than stopping power. Dont get me wrong, I have a kimber Ultra carry .45... Its bad ass... sucks that the .45 rounds are much more expensive than a 9mm.

@TribulationWarrior you can find a great one at 3gungear. They are about $40 but are VERY well made. Plus alot of other gear is there. They pretty much make stuff for 3 gun competition, but some of it is very practical as well. Hope that helps. Oh, and I have no affiliation with them. I am just a very satisfied customer.

@wwood14 First, the hcG diet does not work. They did a double blind study that showed that a placebo worked just as effectively as did the hcG drops.... proving that hcG is bunk. And good for you cutting out sweets... I did not cut out sweets, instead, I made a deal with myself that the only sweets that I can eat are the ones I make myself. And I cannot use ready to make pies or other stuff... everything must be 100% from scratch. So blueberry pie must be made from blueberries not from a can.

I occasionally open carry. Ammunition isn't a firearm, but if you OC in Michigan without a CPL, you can't go into any place with a liquor license. Also, I'd never trust the police to know the law. The corrupted ones commonly will make up their own answers based on their personal views.

@DEMCAD You're thinking of the CPL laws. If you have a CPL, you can't CC in an establishment that more then 50% of their business is serving alcohol. My previous comment about OC without a CPL into any place that has a liquor license that allows them to sell alcohol, open or closed, is illegal. I have researched this legislation quite deeply.

Demcad - when you're firing the Glock, you have "flying finger" problems. What that means, is that after you fire, you're snapping your trigger finger forward. Rather than do that, you should only let the finger go forward enough for the trigger to "reset." Try this slowly: Fire AND HOLD the trigger finger back. Then, SLOWLY release pressure on the finger until you feel the trigger click. This is the reset. The gun is now ready to fire again. Practice this, and you'll get tighter groups.

.45 is awesome but I rather have a 9mm because they kick is less. Having control of a gun during a fight is better than stopping power. Dont get me wrong, I have a kimber Ultra carry .45... Its bad ass... sucks that the .45 rounds are much more expensive than a 9mm.

@TribulationWarrior you can find a great one at 3gungear. They are about $40 but are VERY well made. Plus alot of other gear is there. They pretty much make stuff for 3 gun competition, but some of it is very practical as well. Hope that helps. Oh, and I have no affiliation with them. I am just a very satisfied customer.

thats bullshit about using just the first quarter inch of finger!..that would be true on a light [target type] trigger..but something with a heavy trigger pull ,the middle part of the finger gives much more leverage..i shoot 'expert'..on the U.S. ARMY rifle range..

Its not legal to carry a LOADED gun in michigan. You can carry an unloaded gun even in Kalifornia.

@skyding8962 That is not true.. open carry is legal in Michigan. Opencarry-dot-org has picnics all the time. No one gets arrested at these picnics. I wouldn't open carry because you have no tactical advandage.
