She calls all the time, especially when we are in another room and she is looking for us. Yes, she does also fly. We also have two juvenile ducks, one is a girl, not sure if the other is a male just yet.

We never let her or any other of our pets stay outside without our supervivion. I would never want to see a hawk take my little Scooter.

She LOVED me, but once I put her in the pool she didn't want to be near me. When I went to grab her to take her out, she would swim away so fast.

She is a wood duck, they are a protected species, so you need special licenses to keep them.

shame! such a sweet duck! i had an easter duck,well..rescued an easter duck. we named him afflack after the duck in the afflack commercial. sadly we had to give him to a duck farm because his legs werent growing right, and they said they could help him. gladly he made not only a recovery, but a girlfriend aswell! so precious.

the bad thing is that with pool water, they tend to drink it like regular water, which is bad for them, so thats sad. these types of pools done with the hoses are the better option :)

I agree with you. She really IS happy. If I didn't give her a home, she shoul have been run over during a flash flood on her first day of life. She's such a joy to our family.

She flew to the top of the roof once, but mostly she doesn't fly very high and stays in the backyard. She's always supervised when she's outside.
