There is no way that is real. Her skin around the stoma looks too perfect. The adhesive changes the color of your skin after a while. Stomas are also working 95% of the time. If four minutes went by without it doing anything, it's probably just a model.
@manto51 depending on what time of day i change my bag depends on if my stoma is working, i normaly change my bag in the morning and if i've not eaten anything that morning i can go a couple of hours without my stoma working, plus the adhesive has never changed the colour of my skin, so i dont know where your getting your info from!
@laytonsri150 My info is from my own experience, but my skin is very sensitive so maybe it is just me. I always have to use skin barrier wipes before I apply the bag or the adhesive will irritate my skin and turn it dark.
this must be a nurse and not an ostomate, as you would never apply a two piece like a one piece..........with a two piece, the wafer goes on first, the application of powder or adhesives around stoma and then add the pouch.....
@michaelhassett8558 Most ileostomates (myself included) put on the 2 piece as a one piece. I do it because I don't want the stoma to be pooping all over the place while I try to attach the pouch. It is much cleaner and easier to do in one step.
do you not have to apply glue. I have the moldable type but am new at this and was told to use glue
