@poseytoesy For love! Nothing more, nothing less. They complemented each other perfectly and although she had a tough time initially adapting to the Monegasque life she was content and raised a lovely family.
She was one of the nicest women one could hope to meet. Charming, gracious, intelligent and humble. Her untimely death left an enormous gap.
She was hot but she was just one more Hollywood fraud, walking around speaking in an English accent when she grew up in Philly, never had anything to do with England.
I have been trying to find her movies someone recommended to me on you tube. I cant find them. Could someone tell me what movies she was in that are on You Tube or are none their?
@auegg I totally agree, auegg, I totally agree. Right up there with the Audrey Hepburn line and scene ..."You know what is wrong with you...absolutely nothing. Both with Cary Grant. And then there is the scene in Nortorious with Ingrid Bergman and Cary Grant....ohh, I can go on and on and on.....Love Classis Hollywood!
That... woman... was... PERFECT! She had a life taken from a novel. Perfect in every aspect, smart, classy, worked with the best actors, three movies with Hitchcock, an Oscar and then she got the only place that this world seemed to have for her, princess. If I was Cary Grant I would broke that door to pieces after that kiss just to get another one. Marilyn Monroe was great but Grace Kelly was out of this world.
Her Serene Highness Princess Grace of Monaco. THE most desirable and timelessly beautiful woman I have ever seen. Princess Grace is more that just a woman; she personifies the era when women were mysterious and aloof and utterly irresistible. I hope that era returns. Thank you for posting. Thank you Grace for being you. RIP x
Both Ranier and Grace each had a number of lovers during the course of their marriage after things started to go pear-shaped. I have every book on Grace you can get your hands on, by different authors. I can't remember Ranier's, but Grace had a number of younger lovers, one of them was film director Robert Dunelm. Makes one wonder if there are any royals out there actually faithful to each other. Apparently, it's well known amongst close circles that The Queen and Prince Philip have had too.
It is odd that an admirer of Grace such as yourself should focus on her infidelity. Her marriage was not a fairytale because life is not a movie. Her desire to be loved just shows her vulnerability. I choose not to see her for this "weakness". Grace was not perfect; nor are any of us. I mourn her passing and the passing of the innocent era she represents.
I admire her for her looks and style, but that's a totally separate issue to admiring someone for their character, and am therefore not going to turn a blind eye to her flaws. She wasn't a great actress but did lend a great charm to her movies. I'm afraid I do lose respect for people who cheat on their partners or use their bodies to get ahead in their careers.
There were times before she got married when she was sleeping with three men at a time to further her careeer, one of them being the Shah of Iran, and she was described as a 'career carnivore'.
One man was never enough for her, and she didn't care if a man was married and had children when she'd get involved with them. Her first ever sexual encounter was when she seduced her best friend's husband when she was out of the house. Ask me about Audrey Hepburn and you'll get a different story.
Point understood Pratorrian. Although, having never lived a life of fame, I feel unqualified in the possible effect of its pressures. I admit that I see Grace through rose tinted spectacles; she does have that power to make a man starry-eyed. I don't condone her methods but I think a great number of people prostitute themselves in one way or another. To me, Grace remains Amazing:)
Why not, it's called not having blinkered vision. And much of the 'shyte' is from Grace's own sister and best friends, who cared about her, and from self admissions from Grace and Ranier, not too dissimilar to when Charles and Diana admitted their infidelities. You have clearly not bothered to do any research, and are thus in no position to dismiss anything anyone else says. All you can do is state your opinion.
I do not have blinkered vision. I know she had her relationships, but a lot of the stuff biographers put to paper was hearsay, affairs she was rumoured to have had. I have that from people who have read up on her. I' m not saying she was squeaky clean, but I do know she is not remembered for the stuff you and I wrote down in the last two posts. She is still seen as a classy princess. I guess she did not feel the need to put all of her business out there like most of today' s celebs.
Can someone please let me know what the name of the classical music is that's playing in the wedding scene. I've heard it lots of times but need to know the title to buy it.
one of those rare people whose name fit perfectly with their image

kelly is pseudonymic. Anyway, none of you have their roots there, I say she is of german descent,

Upon returning to America, Kelly began work on The Swan, in which she coincidentally portrayed a princess.

Priness Grace Kelly was a devout Catholic and a devout woman. Her Charity was almost as great as Paul Newman's wife...Dan O'Niallain, Grafton, Ma.

It's not British it's mid-atlantic. I guess you are right though it;s quintessentially 40s Hollywood. I love it though it's so classy and neutral.
