I do...I wil always be a Motown fan....I love every song..artist.. writer...I grew up in Detroit...graduated from Mumford HS in1967..I started collecting vinyl in 1960-61.. My first buy was "Meet me on South Street!"..."Do I love You" and" Happy Birthday"..by the Primettes/Supremes...reat music..Greater memories
Frank Wilson's original on Motown is the one that's worth thousands of pounds (or dollars!)
I like both versions the same, they are still rare singles today. As Motown's slogan "It's in the groove that counts" is very true isn't it. I'm just working on some more singles to put on now!
Several months ago I came across Chris singing 'Love's Gone Bad' which I could vaguely remember hearing on the radio. I was suprised to find out she was a white artist on the early Motown labels.
Both great. Franks version sold for £27,000 last year

This is terrific and should have been promoted more. It would have been a hit - check out Chris's "I Want to Go Back There Again" - it's even better.

Great song by Frank Wilson. He does a great job too but I think, at least to me, Chris has a little edge on this song. Very Motownish.

Love the heavy brass element of her mix over Frank's version. Don't think her voice was strong enough for the track though.

Love's Gone Bad is one of the best, little known, Motown recordings, in my opinion.
