i'd be perfectly fine with this music and tons of attractive dead women spirits flying around following some intergaliactic baby in order to celebrate the death of the universe, by them turing into some kind of primordial soup leading into a new altrusitc race
(Mortem) Quam Pulchra est Vita (Deus) Quam Pulchra est Vita (Mortem) Quam Grandis Gratia est Vita Amor (Amor) Deus deus Messiah Messiah Animus Dominus Diem Natalem Gratulari Natalem Vitalis Felicito
This has to be the best tune to come out of Ideon besides Tsuru Ga Tobu (B-3). Is that the death of entire races I hear or is it the rebirth of human life?
Depends on what you make of it, because it's open-ended. I like those sort of endings, they force you to think and debate and it's something you can talk about for years.
Very awesome, certainly an outstanding ending to a, well not a classic anime, but a rather good one with it's flaws so at least it ended with a super bang.
I know, Sanrio made a lot of movies back in the early 80's. Unico, The Sea Prince and the Fire Child, Ringing Bell (which was almost as dark as the second as the two Ideon movies), etc. Now, it's all cutsie stuff (yes, I'm a 17 year old guy saying this, not that there's isn't anything wrong with Sanrio making cute things).
Because it was co-produced by Sanrio, maybe that's where they got Koichi Sugiyama to score this film, since the composer also did the soundtrack for "Sea Prince and the Fire Child".

Composer Koichi Sugiyama also did the soundtrack for "Sirius no Densetsu/Sea Prince and the Fire Child" (1981). ; )
Anyone know where I might be able to download the "Ideon: Be Invoked" OST? Thanks.

The creators of Hello Kitty (Sanrio) own Ideon?
mattjnor98 2 years ago 4
they were co-producers of the movie Be Invoked (Sanrio was a lot different from what it is now)

He did the soundtrack for the series and A Contact as well from what I know. A shame he hasn't done much in anime, since this stuff is unbelievable.

This was only the second grim and bleak-toned animated film they produced.
