Everyone is lying to you, "animeloverandother", about the meaning of this song. It´s true that it means green lights on all levels, but the true meaning of this statement has a much deeper, symbolic nature than what comes to the surface in this comment field. It is well hidden from the public though, and widely considered as harmless, slightly naive lyrics. Just a really small group of really special individuals knows the true meaning of this song. I guess we´d all like to know the truth...

It's about being in a situation where everything goes your way, and you can have everything exactly the way you want it - hang out only with your best friends, eat candy every day, the traffic lights are always on green etc ... and then it asks the question whether it's a good thing to always get things you're own.
