  • Braveheart should have won best dramatic score. The movie would not be nearly as moving or Oscar worthy without it. And while Pocahontas is a flawed movie, I think the wins for Best Musical Score and Best Song were well deserved. Colors of the Wind is a great song and the sequence where Pocahontas sings it is among Disney's most beautiful and memorable scenes.

  • One of the FX technician from Babe said: "I would like to thank the Academy for realizing that many characters in the movie are special effects and not real animals." And I say: about the Apollo 13, how many times we had seen that sort of FX in movies?

Italy chose the movie The Star Maker for Foreign Language Film category, which was nominated for. Of course didn't win. Il Postino received the major nominations like Best Picture, Director, Actor, Screenplay and Music. Needless to say more.

  • MEL Gibson was robbed and should of received the best actor award for brave-heart!

  • @recharg34 Just a Nomination !

  • You people must have a bias against MEL or must just have bad taste in films because Brave-heart deserved all the oscars it could get in 1995 it was by far the best in everything. The movie was revolutionary! And did I hear someone say liked apollo 13 usual suspects and leaving las vegas over Braveheart some people are just plain dumb.

  • this an opinion so no judgement

i enjoyed Barveheart alot but i dont think it deserved best picture. The usual Suspects is my favourite movie of all time which should have one best picture and many people also say that. if u havent seen the usual suspects i would definatley reconmend seeing it then u might get the same idea as i do

  • @ALSFLAVOUR: I agree :) It was my favorite film of the year!

  • @ALSFLAVOUR nut

  • @LpWizeinitblud wat is that supposed to mean?

  • @ALSFLAVOUR Are you serious? Braveheart was in a whole different league over the usual suspects. Braveheart was one of the very few films in oscar history which actually deserved best picture but their will always be a some people with different opinions. Braveheart is Flawless!

    i said no judgement douchebag

  • @ALSFLAVOUR so what you cant force a person to do what you want I will give my opinion just like you gave yours. And that is really smart saying I shouldn't judge you then right afterwards calling me a douche-bag really intelligent.

  • @ALSFLAVOUR I think The Screenplay in The Usual Suspects is fantastic that's why I had an Oscar , But I just can be talkin' about it because I haven't seen it yet !

  • In general, I don't like Babe. But, when they won the Oscar for Visual Effects, one of the technicians thanked members of the specialized committee for realizing when it's real animals and when it's not. And he was right. He said it all.

And I say the visual effects like Apollo 13 he have seen in many movies before - even back then.
