  • I wouldn't liken the RPK to the M60. The PKM maybe, but not an RPK. It is not a heavy belt-fed machine gun. They were created simply to lengthen the effective range of 7.62x39.

  • if anything its the stoner 63 to the m16 and the ak 47 to the rpk

  • is the rate of fire higher on that than an ak?

  • @dude444666444 an RPK is basically a twin of your modern day AK

  • @shotgunn9

not really.. unless a truck is a car

  • I know this is a dumb question but I know its basically a ak47 but can you enterchange ak47 parts? such as the stock trigger forward grip ect ect. an does it have the rail mount or the side? or can you put one on it.

  • @disturbedproject

Yes, many parts like the stock and grips are the same size as the AK47

  • @disturbedproject I have the AES10B and it does have the rail mount on the side as well as the tapco trigger group.

  • This weapon is more accurate than AK 47 I shot with both and this is more...more accurate. AND the old model...under 1989...from comunist Romania is more beter. This call in Romania ...PM...."RIfle-Machinegun''. Greetings from Romania.

  • how are the new romanian aes-10b by century arms also would you rather get the aes-10b or the yugo m72 comparing quality?

  • I`m from romaniaaa...

  • @SlyNicolai dude some spetsnaz dudes even used it as a primary... well for like a light support but in sf everythings like a primary. they just stuck with a 45 round mag

  • @SlyNicolai ya i gotch you brosiv i see where your going with the weight now. but trust me it comes in many variants now. for stomping power 7.62mm but the do have a 5.45

  • I am a Romanian and I'm proud! :)

  • dude RPK comes in like 3 variants now probably... for sure though 2.

RPK-74 and RPK. both shoot diff calibers. RPK-74 shoots the 5.45

    regular RPK the 7.62

  • its not close to a m60... pkm would be m60 and the rpk is just like the SAW but thats the 5.45 version, this on the 7.62, is just a beafed up ak for dudes who want to look a little more badass.

  • These things are awsome but I would not want to be the guy that humped it around all day. A second person would have to carry the drums for it... in my opinion.

  • awesome vid thanx

  • Maaaaaan, the GunWebsites guys are snoody.

  • @KLove3232

That is only because we are always right, and we know more than anyone else does about every subject.

  • @GunWebsites Ohhh of course = ) how humble of you

  • LOL

  • @GunWebsites hahaha hes right

  • @GunWebsites haha thatd made my day thanks

  • Nah a degtarev is more their version of an m60.

  • Ive seen that bulge on the Saiga's and some of the yugo receivers is it just to beef it up or what?

  • BEAUTIFUL GUN! I'm getting one once I turn 18 :))))!!

  • this is not the romanian version

  • @oby115

    really, what is it Canadian?

  • @GunWebsites Dude you get ALOT of dumbass questions on here.

  • @thestick169

Yea, makes it rough some days to read them all..

Thanks for your support though, makes it worth the time & effort

  • @GunWebsites Yeah its really just plain sad how ignorant people are about guns.It almost seems like a crazy person with a gun is safer than an uneducated person with a gun.Stuff like Call of duty only makes even more ridiculous.

  • @thestick169 Well for the love of god at least people try to care I don't think you knew everything when you first started liking guns

  • @GunWebsites Well why do you do it if you think you get dumb questions? Whats the point I thought it was to teach people

  • bad news people

this gun will be in the next cod

    13338 views it has now

    remember that number

  • @dontmakemeMAD1990 wow are you fucking kidding me? its in medal of honor already i seen the gameplay so don't forget medal of honor, they have this too

  • @louiscarr899 yea but even batllefield and arma together are nothing compared to one cod like mw1,waw and mw2

and black ops predictions saying that one will become even more populair

i seriousl y am not joking, if i tell you an monster is comming

    and medal of honour...

no joke but you seriously shoud search walther wa2000, m21,m14 and barrett m107

  • will these rpk rifles take the same butt stock and pistol grip that a regular AK47 use's? I noticed that the front handgaurd is to different though.

  • I thought this would be more acurrate than a regular AK-47 because the sights are farther apart. That is one of the reasons it is unacurrate. The Israelies made the Galil wich was basicly an AK-47, but the sights were farther apart.

  • i love this gun

does this count as a machine gun?

  • @namekman01

    no, not at all

  • Are you shore that is a Romanian RPK? Maybe an RPK in 5.45?

I am asking because I am Romanian and I have seen the Romanian RPK from very close distance (was in my hands :)). The wood doesn't look right (should be more red and lacquered). The barrel is really skinny compared with what I had,

At least it is written on the weapon something like Romania, Cugir (first weapon manufacturer factory) or Sadu (this is the second weapon manufacturer)?

  • Why did you used 16 bit for this video.

  • @Sarranid

Same reason you have never posted a video

  • How heavy is the RPK compared to a standard AK47?

  • @SickVicious996

it is quite a bit heavier

  • *make a short pistol version of that* omg awesome

  • SWEET VID MAN!

  • Great vid as always but i was thinking of purchasing an RPK and looking at it i was wondering if a regular AK FCG would work on one of the RPKs and say if the bolt carrier was damaged would a converted FPK/PSL carrier in 7.62x39mm work in replacing it

  • Whats the price range? : )

  • @klown8745 AROUND $700 FOR ROMANIAN. YUGO IS AROUND $600

  • to many gypsies lool

  • @kingbigdawg9 your mama is a gypsies asshole!

  • ROMANIA IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!

  • @mucoanalo WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WROOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

  • @whatdafloopyjoop why? excuse me?

  • my dad used one of these in the army lol

  • AES-10b. It's on the side

  • For analogy, you can say that is a kind of american Browning automatic rifle.

  • nice bump firing has a purpose with the RPK

  • I guess, but I'm not a big fan of bump firing

  • @RoberTastic things like this could damage your finger

  • RPKs are not similar to the M60.

    More like a M249 SAW.

  • you can have whatever opinion you want, but SAWs (M249) is new and didn't exist back when the RPK was used in the cold war

  • True that the SAW wasn't around in the cold war:

    But the m60 is

    -a "medium weight", crew served weapon;

    -is ~2x the weight,

-fires NATO 7.62x51 Win. (lot more punch than a 7.62x39)

-I belt feed (not magazine) by 200rd links at a time

The M60 is True machine gun where as the RPK is a over sized assault rifle.

M60 and the PKM are in the same class.

  • exactly

  • Their version of the M60 would have been the PKM I think.

  • OK, fine

    I agree..

But what I said in passing in this video was that this was like an M-60 because of the way it was used and distributed to their troops

  • wrong. saw has been around. he's talking about purpose. RPK is designated a LMG, like the saw. PKM is a medium machine gun, like a m-60 or 240G. It has to do with rate of fire.

  • no, it's not a gun machine, the rate of fire is same AK, romanians call it "rifle gun-machine"( "pusca mitraliera" in romanian language). The author is right, it is just an AK with a longer barell and it was used for cover fire( it have a better range of fire).

  • The RPK is not similar to the M60 OR the M249. Those are 2 belt fed weapons. The RPK is magazine fed. Both the M60 and the M249 have removable barrels for changing when the barrel gets hot after long strings of fire. The RPK has a fixed NONremovable barrel.

  • pfft

You all miss the point.. I never suggested if you blindfold someone they would not know any difference..

All I suggested was they were both given out the same way among troops and they were used around the same time

So they could have ended up shooting at each other

Lighten up, this is meant to be a less than TWO MINUTE overview / review of a rifle..

NOT a well researched and thought out in depth review of military small arms

  • @GunWebsites ^^^^^owned/win

  • @GunWebsites There are no dimples on the receiver. Is it poor quality like the WASR 10, or is it far, far better?

  • @MrGatoMan1 ya its like a Stoner 63 from America cuz it is a SAW just not a belt fed one

  • ive got one, this is not an AES-10 it is an AES-10b the "b" is for heavy barrel. im not trying to be smart, but i thought you would like to know. the AES 10 is an utter peice of crap because of all CAI's mistakes. you have got the better model.

  • Thanks for the info, I didn't realize there was a difference in model numbers.

I did notice the quality of these had been hit or miss (when I used to see them more often) this explains why I bet

  • Russian PK, and Yugo PK's do come with rail, on which optics can be mounted, and it's really percise on sniper ranger, considering it's actually a LMG...

  • I wish I could test this one at long range.

  • I think there's still aftermarket rail kit for no-rail AK's.

But I never had a chance to try is it worth anything, and is it any different than standard AK rail system...

sorry for typographical errors, my keyboard is off medicines...

    btw, good video, 5 stars

PS; post video from the range plz :) and make a target from something solid to see the effect... :)

    best regards

  • btw, bipod can come off.

Althow, you can't remove the bipod carrier bulk, you can remove the bipod. It's usually constantly swinging around, very iritating, but very usefull in shooting position.

Don't try to tape the bipod to prevent swinging, couse tape will melt when you fire first 10 shots :)

Usually bipod is held on 3 notches, from wich you can pull it out, if you unscrew the flashider firs, and pull the cleaning rod.

At least, it was like so on Yugo PK's.

    best regards... :)
