1989 was an amazing year in country music; the legends were winding down, but still had great music and the new generation (Clint, Vince, Garth, Alan, Travis, Patty, Suzy) were amazing with more modern material.
Can't you just picture a small Texas town, and an old man sitting on the porch watcing the world just go bye...his time is soon up. Great song from a great astist.
God bless that old coyote town and God bless Don Williams for all the many years of great music and many more to come. thx. KSMusicGeeks for posting this.btw. you paid 1.00 for this album? what a deal!
And the interstate that rumbles like a river that runs, to a rythm that dont ever slow down, as cars and trucks and time pass by, that old cayote town.
Wherever it is in your mind God bless that old coyote town.

By far, my favorite Don Williams song. It makes me think of the small North Carolina town I grew up in, and, miss so much.

This song was originally on Don's 1987 album "Traces", but the song wasn't released until "Prime Cuts" came out in 1989.
