if every singer (or those who like to call themselves as such) out there could sing even a tiny tiny bit this well, we'd be living in a way better world.
@fac3tious Greetings from Venezuela (Next to Brasil) my Friend. Answering your question, I'm sure it must be quite difficult for him to contain himself due to the fact that this song is a work they developed altogether and of which they feel very proud. When I listen to it I can't help moving my body from one side to the other. In one instance, Radiohead Got an award for the best animated video the same year the song was released. If you want to contact me this is my e mail angel_ehc@hotmail.com
Thank you for uploading this. This indeed is the best version of this song, i remember hearing it in some station with winamp's media browser a loooong time ago.
Dunno about any1else, but this was the song that got me into Radiohead, was like being Re-born because i cant remember anything from the life before without radiohead.
@train834 Jonny Greenwood as a driving force, and the rest of the band. Ed has the exact same voice as thom anyway, he just sounds far away all the time.
@shlomr , I've got respect for Jonny, trust me I do... and it's not about the quality of Thom's voice, it's the raw emotion he injects into every utterance.
@Rixripter ok gotcha...thats the thing about radiohead it seems like they change the tunings to their songs all the time...the way i learned it I was in dropped D and I did something else with another string...haha that was a while ago tho...
Warrenmusic has a perfect tutorial for this. Seriously took me five minutes to learn it. The "Whyyyy soooo greeen..." part is a little rough but after you get the technique down, it's cake.
no mames ya estos weyes están en otro pinche nivel, buscaba una versión acustica de esta canción y nunca esperé encontrarme con algo tan chingón xD poca madre, no hay palabras....
I can't belive I didn't even give Radiohead a chance until In Rainbows came out. I'm a huge fan of classic rock, born in 1991, but the soothing melodies and perfect acoustic guitar sounds have made me a slave to their music. I have to see them live before its too late!! btw listening to Amneisiac on shrooms gave me one of the most instense, emotional trip ever!!!! i was curled up in a couch cushion laying on the floor!! purely amazing!!! one of the most memorable moment of my summer 2008! peace
Same here dude. I always kind of laked their older stuff, like karma ploice and creep, but I didn't realize how endlessly creative they are. They can just make song after song thats amazing.
I feel like that all the time... I used to be like... GOD why did I have to miss bands like Hendrix, Jopplin, The Beatles, The Dead, and Zeppelin. (yes I know a few of those are more 70's than 60's). But I am glad that my Beatles are Radiohead. Plus the Beatles would have sucked to see live, because it would have been little dots on a stage to the soundtrack of screaming girls. Instead I get bands like Radiohead, Modest Mouse, and The White Stripes...
Also people say music sucks now of days... I argue against that... Music on the radio sucks, but music is actually quite innovative now of days, you just need to know where to look!!! It's all about the Indie and Alternative scene.
check how he "gets out" of the song little by little when it's finished, we was just... so deep into the song, and then he... awakes!!, and comes back to reality
i wish i could feel music in such a beautiful way like him...

radiocoldheadplay 1 year ago
@radiocoldheadplay
I don't think he does, I'm pretty sure he's tuning the 5th string to B. That's how it's played and that's what it sounds like he's doing.
Rixripter 1 year ago
@Rixripter ok gotcha...thats the thing about radiohead it seems like they change the tunings to their songs all the time...the way i learned it I was in dropped D and I did something else with another string...haha that was a while ago tho...
radiocoldheadplay 1 year ago
@radiocoldheadplay Yeah the 6th is down to D. Sorry for not mentioning that as well :)
Rixripter 1 year ago
@radiocoldheadplay
The 6th string was already dropped. He was just tuning it better cause it was slightely detuned !
But the 6th and 5th strings are indeed detuned.
kalisteboat 1 year ago
@kalisteboat ya I guess after watching it again he does barely turn the tuning keys...
and ya I wish this song was just in standard tuning, I hate having to detune and retune it everytime I want to play it haha
