I guess some sizes have stretchy sides and others don't. I'm currently using Size 1 on my newborn son (which he hates because they feel too much like paper), and I've found that the sides stretch just fine although not as good as Huggies Little Snugglers or Pampers Swaddlers. I'll be hurrying back to Huggies Little Snugglers as soon as I use up my Luvs diapers, though. Great review!

i wonder if at some point they have training pants under the luvs name? Also, does anyöe know the material on some diapers in about the late 70's? It wasn't plastic i'm not sure of the brand. I also see that there are a lot of people on here who remember the days of toddler hood and diapering!

Do you realize what these DISGUSTING diapers are in our landfills for HUNDREDS of years?????

Why not watch your child and tune in to their cues. You will know when they have to pee and poo- at the very least when they have to poo.

There are countries in the world where they don't have the luxury of disposable diapers- Why would you want to keep your children in diapers for as long as possible? If they are already concious of 'blues clues' THEY ARE TOO OLD FOR DIAPERS!!!

We tried to use Luvs..but couldn't use them. My son was allergic to them,besides me having to try to clean off the beads of gel off of him everytime I changed him was kind of a pain. I wish that they'd have been more absorbent too. (I had to change him every couple of hours.) Other than that,no major leakage issuses, I wish that they could have worked for us. :)

see I have had problems whith my daughter leaking thrue them. I now use pampers crusiers and have not had any problems

You're right, these diapers are great. Kids should be kept in diapers until they get really old. by the way, I'm sure you would love to try a vintage plastic diaper on your kids because these were so comfy and soft. ;-)

I hate to say this...but Blue is female. I remember from when I was little. I always thought Blue was male, though. Don't know why. Maybe because it is the default pronoun.

I think it's because she's blue. In general, when you have a blue character you assume they're male, as a carry-over from the days when female babies were dressed in less-expensive pink fabrics while blue was reserved for males.

I always thought blue as male, too, until I heard her refered too as female. I still can't quite get that through my head. Xp
