@bart69rich Except the ps3 doesn't support resolutions higher than 720p when it comes to games. Even then, resolutions fall even a bit under that, being that they are designed to run with the best frame rate possible. So yeah. PS3 does support 1080p, but only for blu-ray movies. So get off your fanboy high horse. It's fine to prefer whichever system you want, but you should at least get your facts straight before you start throwing out positives and negatives.

@DutchHDGamers Upscaled, sure. Same as 360. Neither console can render retail releases in 1080p. They don't have the hardware. What both consoles do is upscale the image - basically filter the graphics, in order to present the image at a 'perceived', higher resolution. Not as good as actual "hi-def", but it looks better than the native resolution of the game being played. Many games don't even hit 720p. So yeah, how about you learn a little something before you express your thoughts next time?

The games, no matter which console you take, are played at the same resolution as each other, and then just upscaled. If you wanted to get technical, the AA used for the 360 is actually better than that used for the ps3, meaning that the "Not true hd console", actually produces the better looking image, more often than not. =P

@cgcanada88 I promise you that no console game runs at true HD. It is all upscaling, despite what the back of the box might say. Also, never said anything about a pc. With that, the need of 2 - 3 graphics card is quite non-existent. Being that any decent 1 gig card can run anything on store shelves nicely, multiple gpu's are mainly for those with extra cash to burn and want to go overboard. You can build a rather high-end pc for around a grand, considering you know what you are looking for.

You are probably right, and the fact that ps3 doesn't have Antialiasing, confirms your statement. But..... it sucks not having full native 1080p games on either ps3 or xbox360... Oh well, good enough for now, waiting for next gen of games... :D

As for pc, when there games running 2560x1600 res (only possible with monitors . . . which also can have OLED screens), with better overall graphics, then that leaves you looking a bit childish. Look they're both great consoles, some of the pictures are better on the 360 and others on the ps3. the ps3 and 360 do the same thing. they deliver entertainment to the people. there is no need to fight like this. people buy what they want. I'm an xbox owner and i don't see anything that is different from the ps3. The graphics in most games are the same and they both have great exclusives. Microsoft has a chip in the console abd many other products that is patented strictly for microsofe products, making the graphics a tad bit better. Both consoles are basically the same graphics wise, and in other ways. Both have their pros and cons. Ps3 has blu-ray, and Free online play. Xbox has better graphics, and better consumer support. Face it, both consoles are superior, especially over the wii.
