  • Liston to Segovia plyaing this on the guitar...magic!

  • From 2:50 forward always touches very deeply. Puts a man in tears. This composition is probably one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever made.

  • @michaelpietrobon

there`s no such thing as new good music

you can say it depends on taste, but there`s also class not just taste

  • La musique de mon enfance <3

  • These puns are terrible. You should all go Bach to the drawing board...

  • Everyone in the comments needs to calm down. There is no need to fly off the HANDEL!!!

    AHAHAHAHAHA

  • Song from the 1001 night beautiful song :D

  • 54 people are Justin Bieber fans :P

  • An amazing song..!!

  • 54 people can't handel the awesomeness of this

  • I also just watched Barry Lyndon.. the first time. Great Movie, great song.

Ah and this Lord Bullington, I hope he burns in hell, this ugly bastard!

  • He really did not want to shoot his stepson in the duel. The poor boy was so frightened he got sick. I think Barry missed deliberately. The boy didn't, though.

  • I wouldn't mind listening to this while the world ends.

I would just lie there and listen to the music play.

  • "The Madness of King George"

  • The first time i listened to this music was in ""Barry Lyndon"" .... Superb.

  • @zackjr ME TOOO!!!

  • I found this originally from a Levi's ad 10 years ago...

  • Che grandezza! Che bellezza! Che armonia! Grande Haendel sicuramente uno dei più grandi musicisti della musica barocca.

  • This is the glossary definition of GREAT...

  • Barry Lyndon anyone?

  • @VidakOrlovicBG

    yes,Barry Lyndon a visual materpiece!

  • @VidakOrlovicBG Just finished watching it, actually. I watch it every year around this time and it never gets old. It is one of my favorite movies and it puts me in a mood that I can't quite explain, but I indeed love the feeling. I'm already looking forward to next year when I watch it again. Cheers!

  • @UndyingAnguish - Life is short; rent it and watch it twice. Besides, the world is going to end next December. If you don't watch it soon, that's it.

  • Nausicaa?

  • @Nobodyknowsme021 In a short passage near the end of the movie, when Nausicaa dies and is lifted up by the Ohms, yes.

  • I can't handle Handel, too much politics. Great music, not Bach,

  • Beauty will save the world! ~Dostoyevsky

  • 2:19 to the end is the best

  • ‎* HANDEL - SARABANDE *

One of the earliest compositions of monarchy's favourite friend, George Frideric Handel, is the solo Keyboard suite in D minor (harpsichord), which was created between 1703 and 1706 and first published in 1733. Below is an orchestrated version adapted for Stanley Kubrick's 1975 feature film, Barry Lyndon.

Molto Bello!!! Thank you for sharing this video.

  • I played this in music school on accordion...very nice composition !

  • also played in the 1933 film Night Flight

  • It is just imagine...

  • My dog remains silent and still when listening Sarabande...

  • BARRY LYNDON

  • coca cola brought me here =)

  • Many people would say that "Moonlight Sonata" by Beethoven is the greatest Classical piece ever composed. I, however think that "Sarabande" could potentially be placed in that position instead.

  • I love the classical guitar version of this piece it's amazing

  • Meu nome é Haendell =)

  • It is Georg Friedrich Händel, not George Frederic Handel! Don't fuck up names!

  • @Deatholdschoolmetal How fucking dare the uploader make such a horrific mistake! He should be hanged for such a crime.

  • Comment removed

  • @Deatholdschoolmetal He did live in England and adopted an English spelling. Get over it.

  • Gronkh hat eben Geschmack ^^

  • That was punderful, @41609740.

  • I CANT HANDEL ANYMORE OF THIS

    LOLOLOLOLOLOL

  • @41609740pm

Does it Strauss you out? It might help to go into Haydn for a while. But be Bach soon.

  • @colourfulwithaU wisecrackin dumbass :D

  • @TheJulienMonteney

Sometimes, when I feel sad, I go Chopin for stuff I don't need. It's a problem, since I'm already Baroque as fuck.

  • @colourfulwithaU In beethoven all this strauss you should liszt and chop-in your stuff!!

  • FUCK it 1 million times...Now classical music has advertisements?

  • @94saq94 This is Baroque music actually... with a modern instruments and arrangement. This probably sounds prude but I just wanted to use the knowledge I have.

  • no se porque esta obra me da una sencion de heroismo..... gracias por compartirlo

  • as soon as you`re done listening to this song, go listen to this one : /watch?v=pqaARDsiJv4

    perfect blend..

  • 52 People have thought this was the Eminem version....

  • Barry Lyndon!!!!!

  • Divine MUSIC !!!!!

  • It's a set of variations on La Folia, its ver nice, a heard a very good church organ version at a funeral once - very effective, the best in my view is Vivaldi's Trio Sonata in D minor. Corelli also did a nice set of variations on this theme. Very interesting is a long set of variations on La Folia by, Marin Marais, (Les Folies d 'Espagne). It appears fleetingly in the 2nd movt of Beethoven's 5th. I believe the melody goes back to Byzantine or even Roman times.

  • 6666 "yes" votes... Whoah

  • @friendlycrook All talk and no action, typical racist pussy.

  • So beautiful...

  • 51 people don´t know anything about music...

  • @123dedo123 51 Bieber loving faggots

  • Saludos desde Colombia. :)

    Greetings from Colombia.

  • Nach über 300 Jahren bewegt das keinen Deut weniger, als zur Zeit als es geschrieben wurde. DAS ist grösste Kunst.

  • Wonderful!!! I got goose bumps <3

  • ''Auschwitz: Inside the Nazi state'' BBC documentary.

  • Very orthodox performance of this piece. The background picture is also tasteful. Thank you!

  • huzur...

  • I demand satisfaction!

  • @Claredeth /gloveslap!

  • fuckin lively bruv when da beat drops oh my days!

  • 00:35 is it a painting made by Watteau ?

  • Sick stuff. Also, seriously guys, the handel puns are getting a bit too much to handel

  • @stormalot7

    hahahahahahahahahaha

  • This music will be played in my coronation mass.

  • Händel stole from the Gladiator theme song!

  • @mofk1 Georg Friedrich Händel: 1685 - 1759. Gladiator: 2000.

  • @KarlosVonIron That's right Sherlock

  • I think I can Händel this.

  • 51 peple thinks that they are better then hendel

  • this piece is amazing yet i feel no need to add a fictional background story to it. funny that.

  • It seems to me that this life through which we are speeding, and this world we are given, is a rich interplay of light and shadow. put this inner truth of things into music "never was piping so sad and never was piping so gay" as yeats said of a faerie music, and it seems to me this sarabande of handel expresses it wonderfully ,deeply, truly.

  • Your facing the cliff side as you stare into the eyes of the Enemy. You know you will die, But your death wont be forgotten, as you step one foot at a time to your death you see them start to charge at you. as a last effort you run at them with eyes of Determination as you are ready to give everything.

  • Sad what most consider music these days. how the human race has betrayed its cause and meaning. We truly are in the new dark ages......

  • Comment removed

  • @Inzanex1 .. wrong...they are , some like us always lived in the bright of natural truth

  • @salvadoraugustus you made me smile :) TY for your good words friend

  • I feel like I'm about to march into a seriously unfair battle and win.

  • Im 6 months old and I think this freaking rocks! yea man. peace, love and barney!

  • this is the best version

  • but this makes me feeling like finding a gun and shoot myself

  • @dieglhix I get easily depressed too.

  • i am 2 years old and i freaking love this

  • Boroque music is so emotional. I see it right now. The main character in a story fighting for his people and his life. Hes getting beat but he wont give up. Oh no! He is tragically wounded. He is laying down dieing. He says his last words to his wife and kids and the hes gone. WHAT?!?!?!?! Hes still alive?? He gets back up and fights more. Its a long fight but he wins and can see his family again.

  • Ferfection.

  • Quelle solennité dans cette musique, on comprends pourquoi, Beethoven l'aimait tant !

  • Goerg Friedrich Händel, spell it right godammit.

  • @ErikFortress You've got a typo in his name right there, too. It's Georg, not Goerg. So please don't diss others for using the English form of his name.

  • @Himmelswuest Sorry for the typo, and in my opinion people could just go onto wikipedia and copy&paste an ''ä''.

  • Cette musique me prends aux tripessssss

  • put the classic into the playlist and start doing my homework!

i associate this music with the noble men who work by having a great mind...

maybe the reason why they are successful is that listening to this kind of music makes learning rather more effective...

    greetz from germany!

  • @121marine121 doing the same exact thing now...

  • @121marine121

    Gute punk! Weiter so

  • @121marine121 I do the same thing, it helps to retain 25% more information than studying without classical music. It is only baroque that produces this effect. My baroque playlist is almost 20 songs in length and I've been getting A's more often than C's lately. Cheers and Merry Christmas from Canada!

  • @121marine121 if you think that success in life = doing good in tests I have bad news for you.

  • @justascarletwoman if you associate homework with tests you might have a horrible childhood-but its not too late just lay down and enjoy ;)

  • @justascarletwoman that's not what @121marine121 was saying. you should read his comment more carefully before jumping to criticize us "young folk."

  • I hate all those kids saying they're 14 and listening to this. Who gives a fuck, this is a masterpiece.

  • I will always associate this piece with the BBC's Auschwitz: the Nazis and the Final Solution

  • Know this from a BBC series, about Auschwitz, I love this piece, so dramatic! :)

  • @GuitarTosh007 have the DvD it is on of my favourite pieces of Händel :-)

  • @MrHeiaheia

Yes, the series is so good, totally got me back silently in my couch staring at the screen, amazed (in a bad way ofcourse) by the cruelty of a few German Nazi cunts..

  • @GuitarTosh007

please choose your words carefully next time because right now you sound like an idiot

  • @FriendlyCroock

I said Nazi, so I don't attack Germans, and cunts is a word Nazi's deserve.

  • @GuitarTosh007

man i know but don`t say that word on youtube just like that

  • @FriendlyCroock

    Ok, I'm sorry then. :)

  • Beautiful. Thank you from a 33 year old.

  • Am i the only one tearing up at the end? i just don't know why....

  • @PaladinOfHope Is your father calling you dear child. He loves you.

  • It's only on music pages such as this where comments are worth reading, unlike other non-intellectual scumbags

  • genius piece

  • awesome .

  • What a sublime music, by God!

  • That Handel's so hot right now. Handel.

  • @BlackBeardDelight187 HAHAHAHA

  • love it

  • So much emotion is poured into this piece. Unreal.

  • Ca ressemble à La follia non?

  • so this is where Tiesto's Elements of Life came from

  • @JeffRowe114 The one and only.

  • Barry Lyndon!!!

  • is he the brother of Gretel?

    XD

  • @fede018 That's Hansel :P

  • you can easily see how Mozart was influenced by Handel here

  • bach is better

  • Qué belleza!!

  • I don't know why but this song made me sad....i had the feeling of time passing by and not working in my favour...

  • after reading through the comments my only thought is that indeed it is only after having a student tell you off for wearing "normal" clothes to class that one can say "gosh i am a tad odd, am I not??" .. I love this piece though but it's slightly different version to the piano notes i have O.o (the notes only have "Handel" written on it and I think it's meant to be Sarabande :/ )

  • so beautiful !!

    btw I'm viewer 1,777,777

    nice xD

  • @berndsenna wow, Im 1,791,705

    what a quick leap!

  • @SuperPrettyCOLORS Awesome! I'm 1,799,088

    This song is beautiful.

  • This song makes me the same thing hot bread does to butter.

  • Hendel/Chopin/Mozart/Bach and the other guy are so better than Lady gaga and all this crap on our TV...

  • I''m so happy this song exists.

  • PERFECT....

  • i still dont get why ppl like lady gaga kesha and other fail shit when we have beautiful classical music

  • I minirage when I look at the comments and see kids saying they listen to classical or classical and metal. Fuck em. It's so annoying.

  • @Seanze329 It's kind of like those attention whoring chicks who comment on video games or music and are like "YEAH I'M A GIRL AND YES I LOVE VIDEO GAMES/THIS MUSIC. IS THAT NORMAL LOL I GUESS I'M JUST A UNIQUE SNOWFLAKE ^-^ xDDD". Fuck.

  • @immeyouhe That "Fuck" in the end was golden.

  • @Makedonwow It's the only word worth using in situations like this!

  • @immeyouhe I specifically signed into my youtube account just to let you know how much your comment has made me laugh. To be very clear, the part with the 'unique snowflake' has made my day.

  • @IakovC Hahaha, glad I could make you laugh!

  • @immeyouhe Hahahaha, that is SO true! XD

  • @Seanze329 Why is it annoying? I know quite a few youngters that do listen to those types of music.

  • @Seanze329 hell whats wrong with liking both i like symphonic metal

  • I am 14 and I enjoy this piece and many other classical pieces. Do not stereotype. Not all people are the same, no matter what age. I also listen to Dubstep and Rap. That does not mean that I can't like Classical too.

  • @koolio13199713 then u are normal

  • @koolio13199713 verry weel put, koolio.

  • @koolio13199713 It doesn't matter what age you are, or what other stuff you listen to. Everyone's different, and everyone likes different things so don't go 'round posting things like 'I'm 14 and I love classical music - I'm so different!' - it's just attention seeking

  • This song is about CIA Mindcontrol and cocaine!!!!!!

  • @eye1nthesky you just ruined a great song

  • This is a very nice piece the french horns make it
