Who cares who is better. It is just good to have seen them. I miss the days of when Blood Sugar Sex Magic came out, and Janes was at the heights of their powers. Those were the days. When Lolapallooza was cool, and the music was new and different. You could see RHCP and Janes in one summer. Now its all retreads and music industry telling us all what is good.

Dave was fucking awesome on One Hot Minute. The album may have not had the greatest songs on it (at least in the gen populltions opinion), but it arguably has some of the most onnovative guitar work of any Chili Peppers album. And you can quote me on that one bra, yeah John was good, but Dave was better.

@FollowersofDamu John WAS good for the Chilis.He suited the funk/punk style alot better.Navarro came along and practically 'destroyed' the Chilis sound and took them in a far heavier and more psychedelic path not very far from the Jane's Addiction sound.That said One Hot Minute is a TERRIFIC album,It features some of the most ethereal,deiverse and interesting guitar playing ive ever heard and is one of my favourite albums.It the didnt use RHCP as a band name im sure it would be CLASSIC.

Bob Dylan wrote Knockin on Heavens Door-- arguably not the most technically impressive song, but a beautiful song nonetheless.

It's about the songs more than anything.

Ran into 'Jane's Addiction' in an LA recording studio circa 1992 (if that computes?) - a brief encounter but boy, the room was a-smoulderin'...!!!!
