its just amazing for the sheer power he got on the free kick and the deflection could only hav slowed it down so for the ball to go at that speed after a deflection is just incredible typical fans jelous that none on their players could do this

lampard and gerrard got different shoot techniques, gerrard often flicks the ball, lampard shot has power and has a sudden turn before the ball hits the net. both are very reliable and supporting for their teams.

Couldn't be further from the truth mate. Lampard has to be accomodated, this is why England lack balance when they play him. Lampard has great set pieces & has one of the meanest strikes in the world, it's like a having a striker in midfield! However, he can't do much else. Gerrard has just the same striking & set piece ability BUT, he can also hold the midfield, has better ablity on the ball, has better vision, better range of passing, is more versatile & generally makes more incisive passes.

The ball has almost no spin, it is physically impossible for the ball to take a deflection off of a defender and go into the net with next to no spin. Amazing player, amazing free kick, amazing goal, deal with it.
