Poor aramandi.... you have to work alot and lot on your aramandi.... bharathanatyam performers dont' stand straight like that and perform only kathak or kathakali dancers would. i'm not from india, but from sri lanka... even in my country we were taught aramadi and hand positionings before we were allowed to perform onstage. my teacher would come from behind and slap on our elbows if our hands drop down while practicing. i would say u have to practice lot more
practice, practice, practice! Mine used to hurt so much but try keeping them up for a certain amount of time, then the next time you practice extend that time a little. Steady steps go a long way! :)
simply superb!!! i wish u all d best 4 ur futher development.even learn bharatanatyan but we have stage shows only during arangetram. where did u learn dance?
Hallo Meissoun, You have done an excellent job. I love da way you dance. Iam also learning Dance and i learned the thista Alarippu. Yours is excellent. This is a Beutiful Tamil dance.
Good luck! I'm a beginner, I learned Alarippu only a few months ago. Also, you're tall and I know taller girls always have to try to have a deeper Aramandi than shorter girls. 3rd speed takes so much practice to perfect, but you'll do it :)

Does Alarippu always have the same choreography or it depends on the guru?
