  • I love this

  • This piece comes as close as is possible to being Chopin in a "nutshell". Is there another 3 minutes of music that contains as many different elements of what Chopin was as a composer? Starts off gentle and lilting (like a nocturne), morphs momentarily into something dancelike (sounds very reminiscant of a mazurka), and then moves into a stormy climax with some pretty dissonant passages.

  • This piece makes me want to enjoy a stroll through a park in Paris

  • wow

  • oh God this piece touch my heart with every note...

    Pollini sei un mito :D

  • It's nice that you all can play this etude. But can you play it right? No, you can't. There's just so much going on here. The internal melody alone makes it almost impossible. Play it, enjoy the ravishing melody, but remember it's an exercise with several purposes, no the least of which are the rapid movement of intervals, and creating a lyrical melody and accompaniment with the right hand, while not forgetting the melody occurring in the left hand!

  • @johnp234 You could spend years on every song in Chopin's book(s) of etudes and still have more to do!

  • I really really love this version; I just adore the emotion so much behind the 2:05 to 2:20 segment in the song, and when people play that with this much speed and FEELING as this one does, aaah. It makes my heart soar.

  • this song would be relatively easy (i mean if u consider only how to hit the notes correctly) but it is fast.. i can play everything except 2:05 to 2:20

  • amazing..

  • Fast... :/

  • I find it! i find Etude Op. 10 No. 3 sheet music!

  • I came because of my spanish soap opera but stayed for the beautiful graceful.. romantic music <3

  • Horowitz version is sooo much better

  • full metal alchemist

  • quero entender essa musica

  • Man, this song is hard to play!

  • i know how to play up until 1:12

  • @TheOReport1994 Keep playing, don't let the fire extinguish - once you've lost interest you'll never finish it :/.

  • @TheOReport1994 I can play up until 1:40. But I know what you mean

  • Chopin is the best solo pianist of all times... I just hope we could listen to an original chopin recording. That would be awesome!

  • @MrAniruddh97 People usually say that Franz Liszt was the best soloist of all times. His etudes are a much more technically difficult than Chopin's. But I'm a Chopin fan. I love the subtlety of his etudes as well as their uniformity throughout each piece.

  • you people have no idea what this music actually means, this is the music that was inspired by poland fighting and that inspired poland to fight, every note is a drop of blood!

  • MASTERPIECE

  • Chopin is a beauty. I never get tired of listening to his works~

  • i hate ppl wwho say shit like "im only 13 and i listen to this stuff"

  • @ipoodaily Awwww Too Bad....Deal With It..

  • I Remember Sleeping To This As A Kid And Im Only 13:))

Im The Kind Of Person That Like To Listen To Piano Melodies:)

  • @girlrock776 who cares.

  • This piece is so beautiful! Chopin was a true genius!

  • "In all my life I have never again been able to find such a beautiful melody." -Chopin

  • Most beautiful piece ever. I always feel like crying when playing this piece. A tough piece to learn though.

  • Chopin said himself this is his most beautiful melody, I think he was right!

  • hearing ability was wasted on 2 users

  • @doomless198 Maybe they were deaf.

  • @Godotcoffeestorm then they should know by now that listening is a futile effort.

  • @doomless198 3 now!!

  • It makes me sad that this wonderful piece is just a study. It deserves more, and belive me, it's not the only one....

  • @netedco this is because Chopin was such a master genius that even his smaller works are enormous in their beauty

  • i had to analyze this piece for my theory test today. gotta love those augmented 6 chords.

  • i love this interpretation, involved yet without excess

  • This is one of my all time favorites, Thank you so much for putting this up! I like that you have the score on the screen too. Very nice!

  • i think this is one of the most beautiful songs ever :)

  • This is beautiful, probably my favorite of all of Chopin's works. (And it was used in the last episode of "Fullmetal Alchemist" as the theme that plays at the Gate...) There's so much emotion in it. This interpretation is fantastic, too. Thank you so much for posting it!

  • @MusicalChick99 hahaha we are both in the mood for Chopin it seems ;D

  • @MusicalChick99 I'm quite partial to Rubinstein and Horowitz.

  • @MusicalChick99

Hi, it seems I wasn't the only one noticed it. The most part of the music of this great anime was fantastic. I was so pleased hearing also Chopin at the end.

  • @sericssono7 Haha, no, you're not alone! :D FMA was all about bonds and it was a very emotional series, I feel like it was only fitting that this played at the end. :)

  • Wonderful interpretation! Also thanks for showing the music sheet. It's so convenient that way.
