You need to check your facts on Australian violent crime statistics before and after the ban. You also sound like a complete douchebag suggesting that suicide by any other means is somehow morally superior to suicide by gun. Have a look what happened in Australia when we brought in harder gun laws. In the 10 years up to 1996 there were 13 mass shootings and after the new laws came into effect there have been none. An added benefit of having less guns laying around is that suicides with guns is much much lower as they don't have 'the easy way out' in their drawer. The gun manufactures and the NRA are the ones most afraid of tougher gun laws and have the most to benefit if everyone was carrying a gun (or guns).

Criminals can't own guns, they obtain them illegally, they are smuggled by arms runners and are sold to gangs even in your country, anyone can get a gun, and an armed community is a safe community, it is the common law of deterrence, criminals here dont know who is armed so in places where people are allowed to carry, crime is far less prevalent, also most murders in the states are due to gang violence and drugs, that is the sad fact that we must deal with, and if gives politicians fuel.

It doesn't give them rights to do anything other than defend the life of the innocent or hunt if need be. 1Sam 13:19,22, Nehemiah 4:17-18, Exodus 22:2, 1Tim 5:8. If abused, that is when law enforcement confiscates and punishes, not for mere possession alone. That, is abuse right there. Peace: Psalms 144:1, Proverbs 25:26 shows at times in ones life, they had no choice but to defend.

Deuteronomy 19:10 forbid the life of the innocent being taken. Leviticus 19:16 forbids gossiping and doing nothing when one is a defenseless victim and you can stop it or try to stop it. That's about it. Oh and btw, in the NT when Jesus said the law was finished, he never meant the old testament!! He meant animal sacrifices!
