  • Lovely video and song!

  • What a great voice, a great rendition of a great song. This

man is one of the greatest talents of this century... I really

can't think of one any more talented... What a range of talent

also... Marty can sing anything, and make it,,, "his"...

  • Thanks for that information CptSato. Another song of the same kind that Marty should have recorded was 'Red Sails In The Sunset.'

  • What a beautiful song and Marty's great voice.

I love this song too much. Because, I did the Captain of ocean going vessel (Merchant Ship) before.

  • Damn, Can, t you just feel her in your arms. Talk about getting the message accross.

  • Vielen Dank einfach zum träumen*

  • It seems like some of the best songs are some of the saddest ones in general. Damn, what a lovely song i tell you.

  • Very sad song......"I long to hold you close and you kiss just once more, but you were on the ship and I was on the shore..." Thanks for sharing.

  • ..and TO kiss you just once more..........

  • THanks for sharing this song...I played this with harp and my mom loved to listen to this piece...

  • Is there any music that Marty does not do justice to? If there is, I haven't heard it.

  • I agree. Like Nat Stuckey, I knew Marty. The day he passed (Dec 8 1982) I found out when I got to work. I had to take the day off. It was a very sad day for country music.

  • One time back stage at the Opry I did hear Marty attempt a Parody song with Sheb (Ben Colder) Wooley. Couldn't get through one bar without totally cracking up. And it was one of his songs; El Paso. I don't think Sheb ever recorded that song, I think it was just thrown together for that night. Sheb's Montana cattle drive for that year started a few days later and Marty was invited but I don't know if he went or not, I left for the U. K. the next morning.

  • I know Sheb did 'Don't Worry' and 'Devil Woman' on his first album 'Spoofing The Big Ones', but I don't think he ever did another Robbins song.

  • @conductorron rap

  • What a talent he was, his music is timeless.

  • I love Marty Robins and the song Harbour Lights. What a ciombination. His mellow voice is perfect for this song.

  • Simply EXCELLENT !! Thanks for posting, a big HELLO from Spain.

  • Well said sir. I hate it when people pigeon hole him as just a country singer; he was so much more.

  • The classic baritone voice of Martin David Robinson, one of the greatest crooners of all time.
