I love looking at these every so often. Yours is an excellent example. My grandfather had a 1951 or 52. When i was only 4 or 5 years old, i got inside his Caddy and played with the electric windows till i wore down the battery. He came outside from his nap, and found me in the car in his garage. He wasn't mad at all till he tried to start the car to go back to his office.
@williamabeck46 This is indeed a beautiful 52 Caddy. Love it myself, although not mine. Shucks. What a story and memory. I never grew up with power windows just the old crank. If you wish, subscribe to my channel to see other wonderful cars and trucks of all ages. And many thank for sharing that story about the power wndows.
This one looks pretty darn good. Not surprising that Cadillac was by far the sales leader in the prestige class. They had a real automatic in 40, Packard didn't get one until 49, Lincoln 49 and Imperial had to wait until the end of 53. Cadillac got a modern ohv V8 in 49, Imperial 51, Lincoln 52 and Packard 55. Now when it comes to styling who couldn't love these looks.
@cheddyrod You are so right! All of the competition were so far behind. Automatic transmissions, modern V8 engines, styling. Cadillac had it all and long before the other luxury makes. Thanks for commenting on this beauty.
@mrcaymanislands1 I never thought of this Caddy as being sexy, but you're right it is. Marilyn Monroe and DiMaggio had one of these. So, thanks for enjoying this sexy Caddy.
