They always find a way to pin blame on the pilot don't they? Even when the plane is malfunctioning. The fault is clearly with that piece of shit Airbus, and it's multitude of illogical automatic systems. Airbus has never bitten the bullet and just admitted their planes have potentially deadly design, and conceptual flaws.
i flew one week after this accident the same model tam airbus....typical in brazil a joke to be flying an aircraft which was known to have problems...
Its just a shoking accident.I think the reversors were deployed but too late to make the difference.I seriously think that Sao Paulo should build a new airport. Its very dangerous like this..RIP TO ALL!
yes, i think every intl airport that has small runways, or runways near dangerous areas/ residential areas should seriously invest in improving their airport and runway and constructing those new runway overshoot paths that can stop a plane at 100 mph in like 4 secs
yes, if one reverse thrust was locked the other one should work, however, i dont know if this would have negative consequences, like making the plane veer off to the left or right etc.
I wonder why they didnt made a touch and go, it seems they have alot of speed to go airborne again. And to the exact causes of the crash we will have to wait for the investigation to be published. I guess, broken breaks, no refurse, landed with a higher speed, landed to late, wet runway, no spoilers, short runway. Although the runway was safe to land on.
yes, although one theory is, the pilot did try to initiate a touch and go. That why he was going so fast att the end. He was trying to get airborne again but unfortunately they didnt. But yes, ithink the combination of no reverse thrust, small runway and lots of rain caused this crash.
oi, the twats that are rating this video badly, whats the point? I didnt do it to entertain you. I did it for the souls of flight 3054. This is a tribute to them. WE want people to see it, to be moved, to remember the souls of that crash. Stop rating it badly, theres no point. This is for them...
yh. Also the shortness of the runway and that alititude of it as well. Plus there also happend to be a gas station near the end of the runway. A sad sad story...
why why do you have to put this gay music to it...

In addition to only one reverser, I think the spoilers did not deploy as well.

TAM said that one reverse was mechanically locked. This engine could have thrust without reverse... Is it possible?
Pull back both throttles to reverse position in this case?

kind of ironic of it is that after crashing into the gas staion it hit a building of TAM air it self.
