  • wtf audi , bmw mercedes lol

    NO WAY

  • i love this commercial so much

  • The modern streamline SUV style was developed by Lexus, the first being the 2004 RX330. Sure there were other SUVs before that time, but none with such an innovative design. When the patent expired, suddenly all the car companies started making smaller, sleeker SUVs (compared to the clunky Mercedes ML and BMW X5). Lexus is the original.

  • This is a very good commercial. I'll never ever bye a lexus in my life.

  • LOLOL

  • For some odd reason, this makes me think about the Samsung vs Apple fight going on. Apple could make a commercial just like this one and it would be 100% true.

  • burn right there

  • So Lexus is saying that Mercedes-Benz copied the M-Class from their Toyota SUV. Right. In that case, Lexus copied the idea of a car from Mercedes-Benz.

  • @exquiziteSTORM

Mercedes doesn't have 8 speed gearboxes

  • I just checked it and the mercedes was build a year before the lexus. In other words the lexus is copying the mercedes.

  • hahaha it's like scanning a piece of shit and a diamond comes out! Audi > Lexus

  • Audi's are lemons, Bmw is a rough ride, and Mercs are just well...boring. Lexus or nothing.

  • "Lexus, pursuing perfection, but not getting anywhere"

  • @HowManyCupHolders they've gotten farther than most manufacturers, to be honest.

  • Respond to this video... Well, sure, if you don't acknowledge the existence of Audi, Hyundai, Chrysler, Jeep, Cadillac, and Ford. All of these companies have increased their market share exponentially in the last 5 years, Lexus', however, has decreased by nearly half in the last 5 years.

  • not getting this commercial at all...apart from the hybrid technology i can't think of anything the germans would want to copy from a lexus.

  • What is the beat?

  • This commercial is just dripping with irony. Lexus got its start by copying Mercedes and other German automakers. Still to this day, they "borrow" styling cues. They just recently started putting LED DRLs in the headlights of the IS350...just like the Audi A6. For the record, the Mercedes ML SUV predates the Lexus RX.

  • Comment removed

  • @StraySilence For the record the first SUV's were made by Jeep a division of Chrysler, the first luxury SUV's were made by Range Rover. The only first thing that toyota maybe made was a hybrid, everything else they've been copying technologies of european and american manufacturers.

  • @verochka71 No, the Lexus RX is the original luxury crossover.

  • @banstaman If it is, then its comparing itself to totally wrong cars here. Mercedes's ML, BMW's X and Audi's Q are not crossovers, they are SUV's . Corssovers are Cadilac SRX, Infiniti FX and Lincoln MKT. Lexus should comare apples to apples and not apples to oranges. But I guess they can't do that since they are too busy "innovating". Haha.

  • @verochka71 Actually, the Q5 is smaller than the SRX, and the MKT is almost considered full-sized, look at the MKX for a crossover.

  • @verochka71 Actually the Jeep was a special vehicle made for the U.S. Army in WWII by Willys, and then it was bought by chrysler. But your argument still stands.

  • @tvtechnicaldirector Lexus are indicating that the RX was indisputably the world's first car-based SUV crossover. Now crossovers are hugely popular. Lexus also had the world's-first low beam LED headlights in the LS600h in 2007, only last year did Audi do the same and Mercedes-Benz this year. The LS460 was also the first passenger car to have an 8-speed transmission. Now all the German manufactures are doing the same. The MB S400 hybrid came out years after the LS600h hybrid too..

  • @Jubbbbb You couldn't be more correct than that. Lexus would be the best if they had cars with life, but they aren't trying to aim for sport, so I suppose it's reasonable that they do well at what they strive to.

  • @banstaman yes u were right they are not trying to aim for sport, but they just did one and its extraordinary outcomes which is uncompromising performance, technologies and stylish =) gosh my lovely lexus LFA

  • @banstaman But in the NEXT 2 years (2013 - 2014) ... I'm sure that Lexus will improve and start to build a SPORT cars ... ^_^

  • That thing is awesome, I've got to get me one of those, it makes copies that are better than the original.

  • @scabberdoug I award you 100 internets, sir. Well done!

  • i thought that the airbags were inflated in the mercedes benz

  • piece of crap toyota lexus sucks

  • just great =)

  • I call BULLS**T on Lexus, how can you say BMW, Mercedes Benz, & Audi are imitating, when they are all based on rearwheel drive platforms , and Lexus is a front wheel drive. Yeah it might be all wheel drive, but the drivetrain is a front wheel drive setup... Really, don't believe me, check for your self. Open the hood of an RX and the engine is sideways. Transversal mounted engine=Front Wheel Drive.

  • @pelepihuamo yes, that is true, but lexus isnt taking bout the drive train, how long it's been out, etc. it is taking bout the niche it is in.......the crossover..which like the ///M3 sets the benchmark for the other sports coupe, the lexus is doing it with the RX :)

  • @helion987. Correct me if I'm wrong, I tought Crossovers were called crossovers because they were a cross between a FWD car and an S.U.V. Real S.U.V.'s were RWD since their invention. The Crossover setup is less truck like. It is like comparing Oranges and Tangerines, even though they look very similar they are different under their skin. When it comes down to individual taste, drivers can choose a Real RWD S.U.V. or a tamed down Crossover, But I still think they should not be compared.

  • @pelepihuamo oh and i aint no lexus fan either....cadillac is my cup of tea, even though the new "SRX" needs to be in this commercial ;(

  • @helion987 So if you like Cadillacs, the you know that probably the Chevy Suburban was the first S.U.V. Except back then they were just called trucks, until someone came up with the S.U.V. term in the 90's. If crossovers and S.U.V.'s have different names that means they are in different categories. I think it would be like comparing a Pick up truck and an El Camino, in this case they are both RWD, but one is a Car with a bed istead of a rear seat.

  • @pelepihuamo dude......listen...this commercial is not supposed to go that deep !...it is a COMMERCIAL ! it is simple they took the RX and said " hey look at all the competition that are trying to make crossovers like us now" and threw them in here....they didnt say "lets think about the history of every other carmaker before we make this" this is just for selling means only.....the only thing people are going to think when they go buy a crossover is...." ummm...i'll go with the rx" ok... lol :)

  • @helion987 I know it is just a commercial, but does Lexus really think everybody is dumb not to know the differences.. I hate Lexus and Toyota anyways and would rather use public transportation than butying one.

  • @pelepihuamo BTW I hate Lexuses but Audi's is actually either Front or All wheel drive, the only Rear drive Audi on sale right now is the R8 GT. All others are either from front or all wheel.

  • @HowManyCupHolders You are correct. In my opinion audis are better looking than BMW and Mercedes, but the fact that they don't have any rear wheel drive sedans has kept me away from buying one. Ever since I got my first BMW, I have been addicted to them.

  • @pelepihuamo Hey, I have no problem with that, I like pretty much all cars except Lexuses.

  • If Mercedes has been manufactured since like 1900's, how can it possibly be s copy of Lexus, which is only manufactured since 1970's? Lexus should get their facts straight.

  • HAHAHAHA lexus is comming hard at audi, bmw, and merc ! awesome commercial !
